Deste modo, a
No final, as evidências
The present Internship Report was carried out in the scope of the Master Degree in Pre-School Education of the Institute of Education of the University of Minho, it was developed around music and its possibilities for integral learning, under the title Music in pre-school education as a promoter of holistic learning. The internship was divided into two valences, the first in the nursery school valence and the second in the pre-school valence, with the group of children being the same for both valences. The project arose from the observation of the group and their interest in music, an area which was greatly explored in the classroom but which still raised many difficulties for the children. The main objectives were: to promote learning in different areas of knowledge and different musical elements, instruments and voice; to develop imagination and creativity through various musical experiences; to understand the role of music in the construction of knowledge; to provide children with ways of expressing and communicating what they hear; to understand the role of music in the support of holistic learning. Throughout the intervention I did not adopt any program, because the Institution did not follow any specific one. Thus, the basis of all my intervention was through action-research, always keeping present the phases of observation, planning, reflection and evaluation. As instruments of data collection and in order to prove the results obtained, I used observation, field notes, photographic records and reflections. The group was always very receptive and participatory in the activities I proposed. Some of the children tried to be as autonomous as possible, others still needed help to carry out some tasks. When the activities involved music, the group was very enthusiastic, however, when they carried out activities related to Visual Arts I noticed that they showed less commitment. Throughout my intervention I tried to provide the group with varied musical experiences interconnecting them with other areas of knowledge. In all the activities that I implemented I also tried to make the children participatory and active. At the end, the evidence of the learning experiences was quite significant as most of the children could already identify, for example, the musical instruments that were tackled, the songs they had learned, among others. Another evident aspect was the group's enthusiasm for reading and exploring the books I had chosen. Whenever I finished reading, the children would anticipate and ask to explore the book freely. |
