Os diferentes tipos de voluntariado e o papel que desempenham num contexto de guerra atual

Abstract

A realidade demográfica e as inúmeras alterações sociais que ocorreram de forma ace lerada na sociedade nos últimos anos fizeram com que a nossa forma de pensar e agir interagissem com todas estas transformações. Estas mudanças que ocorreram a nível tecnológico, económico e político levaram a inúmeras alterações nos modos de organi zação das sociedades e consequentemente, alteraram também a natureza de alguns problemas sociais da atualidade e das formas de conceber as respostas aos mesmos. Essas alterações produziram novos problemas, para os quais o voluntariado passou a assumir uma quota-parte importante da resposta a dar. O voluntariado é um fenómeno que se pode encontrar em qualquer parte da nossa so ciedade, traduzida por uma atitude ou ação que sempre esteve presente em todas as sociedades, em todas as geografias, em todas as culturas e em todos os tempos históri cos. Nos dias de hoje, o trabalho voluntário é visto como uma mais-valia para a sociedade, de forma a colmatar as insuficiências dos apoios institucionais e também familiares. Desta forma, o presente estudo discute os diferentes tipos de voluntariado e o papel que desempenham num contexto de guerra atual. O objetivo é demonstrar que a prática do voluntariado é um fenómeno social em ascen são, e que se apresenta de formas diferentes, sendo todas elas muitos importantes, no que concerne à aplicação do papel fundamental desta prática, sendo a mesma respon sável e propiciadora de uma cultura de solidariedade social que se preocupa com os mais desfavorecidos. Simultaneamente, pretende-se demonstrar o quão importante é o voluntariado, essencialmente nas alturas mais frágeis, como acontece na atual Guerra da Ucrânia. Assim, apresenta-se a base teórica, com base na citação de alguns autores, para definir o voluntariado e a sua divisão, tentando reforçar a importância do mesmo na sociedade.

The demographic reality and the numerous social changes that have occurred at an ac celerated pace in society in recent years have made our way of thinking and acting in teract with all these transformations. These changes that occurred at a technological, economic, and political level led to numerous changes in the ways societies are orga nized and, consequently, also changed the nature of some current social problems and the ways of conceiving the answers to them. These alterations produced new problems, for which volunteering began to assume an important part of the response to be given. Volunteering is a phenomenon that can be found in any part of our society, translated by an attitude or action that has always been present in all societies, in all geographies, in all cultures, and in all historical times. Nowadays, voluntary work is seen as an added value for society, to overcome the inadequacies of institutional and also family support. In this way, the present study discusses the different types of volunteering and the role they play in a current war context. The objective is to demonstrate that the practice of volunteering is a social phenomenon on the rise and that it presents itself in different ways, all of which are very important, about the application of the fundamental role of this practice, being responsible and conducive to a culture of social solidarity that cares about the most disadvantaged. Simultaneously, it is intended to demonstrate how im portant volunteering is, essentially in the most fragile times, as happens in the current War in Ukraine. Thus, the theoretical basis is presented, based on the citation of some authors, to define volunteering and its division, trying to reinforce its importance in so ciety.
