Abstract

[Excerpt] The project Memories, cultures and identities: how the past weighs on the present-day intercultural relations in Mozambique and Portugal? (Cultures Past & Present), aimed to study cultural, historical-economic and social representations in Mozambique and Portugal through the collection, preservation and analysis of narratives conveyed by museum collections, history textbooks and cinema. It also sought to conduct focus groups with secondary school students, involving them in reflection, reinterpretation and recreation of narratives about intercultural relations' past, present and future.
