A interação na arte escultórica: o espectador como ator - Exposição “Depois de mim, o dilúvio.”

Abstract

O projeto A interação na arte escultórica: o espectador como ator - exposição “Depois de mim, o dilúvio.”, visa entender, como o nome indica, a interação do público com a arte, em particular a escultura, e quais as características dos objetos artísticos, bem como dos espectadores, que fazem com que essa interação seja mais propícia. Aqui é interessante analisar o reconhecimento do ser humano como corpo e unidade, e posteriormente como participante e ator nesta intervenção artística. Este é um projeto parcialmente desenvolvido no campo das Artes Plásticas, tendo como objeto de intervenção uma exibição de esculturas interativas. Através dessas obras, instaladas no espaço expositivo do Palacete de Santiago, no concelho de Guimarães, pretende-se estudar a reação e interação do público com as mesmas. É importante entender de que forma é recebida a arte e a sua mensagem por parte de indivíduos de distintas faixas etárias e ocupações sociais, de modo que, no final da intervenção, serão analisados os dados dos visitantes participantes e comparados os objetivos iniciais da autora das peças expostas com as interpretações do público. As alterações climáticas, o aquecimento global e consequente subida do nível das águas do mar são a inspiração para esta exposição. Será a partir do elemento água que surge a inspiração da artista para a construção das obras. Este elemento, essencial à vida humana e constituinte também de mais de metade do seu corpo, é símbolo de vida e morte, poluição e extinção, movimento e meio de deslocação. A exposição “Depois de mim, o dilúvio” pretende integrar o visitante numa experiência imersiva e refletiva. Aqui o espectador será confrontado com o seu reflexo como indivíduo integrante de uma sociedade, e o seu papel ativo ou passivo.

The project The interaction in sculptural art: the spectator as actor - exhibition "After me, the deluge.", aims to understand, as the name indicates, the interaction of the public with art, in particular sculpture, and which characteristics of the artistic objects, as well as the spectators, make this interaction more conducive. Here it is interesting to analyze the recognition of the human being as body and unity, and subsequently as participant and actor in this artistic intervention. This is a project partially developed in the field of Visual Arts, having as object of intervention an exhibition of interactive sculptures. Through these works, installed in the exhibition space of Palacete de Santiago, in Guimarães, it is intended to study the public's reaction and interaction with them. It is important to understand how art and its message are received by individuals of different age groups and social occupations, so that, at the end of the intervention, data from the participating visitors will be analyzed and the initial objectives of the author of the exhibited pieces will be compared with the interpretations of the public. Climate change, global warming and the consequent rise in sea level are the inspiration for this exhibition. It will be from the element water that emerges the artist's inspiration for the construction of the works. This element, essential to human life and also constituting more than half of our body, is a symbol of life and death, pollution and extinction, movement and means of displacement. The exhibition "After me, the flood" intends to integrate the visitor in an immersive and reflective experience. Here the viewer will be confronted with his reflection as an individual member of a society, and his active or passive role.
