a classificação nZEB (nearly zero energy building). O projeto desenvolvido teve lugar numa empresa
Currently, there is a high awareness of environmental issues, so the search for more sustainable and efficient solutions in all economic activity sectors has been increasingly incessant. Therefore, buildings have become a key sector for european and national strategies, since this sector presents a major environmental impact where there is a high potential for improvement. It was in this context that emerged the opportunity to develop a project whose main objective is to evaluate possible improvement solutions in a large commercial and services building in order to achieve the nZEB (nearly zero energy building) classification. The developed project took place in a company named Tykhe, based in Braga, which provides various engineering services, mainly in the HVAC area. Firstly, an initial study was carried out in which all the constructive solutions and technical equipment designed for the building were analysed, as well as the climatic zone where it is located Then, using the software Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), it was possible to determine the energetic needs of the building, in order to understand which types of utilization had the highest consumption. It was concluded that the three largest consumers are the electrical equipment, the HVAC fans, the cooling systems and the interior lighting. And it was also determined that the building presents an energy class B, not being coincident with the intended objective. At last, in order to meet the proposed goals, it was carried out a study that consisted in the application of four alternative measures to the current ones, in order to understand which is the best solution to reduce the current energetic needs and obtain an nZEB building. Within these, it was highlighted the replacement of the current biomass boiler by a VRF system and the implementation of photovoltaic systems, having been concluded that the implementation of these measures presents a significant impact in the reduction of energy consumption and an improvement in the energy performance of the building. |
