O papel da mediação sociofamiliar no desenvolvimento da parentalidade transformativa em contexto de acolhimento residencial

Abstract

O desenvolvimento progressivo da prática da mediação e a transversalidade contextual que lhe é caraterística permite-nos associá-la a diversos campos de atuação. Retratamos, em particular, uma investigação/intervenção pela mediação sociofamiliar desenvolvida numa Casa de Acolhimento em Braga, no âmbito do Estágio Académico do 2.º Ano do Mestrado em Educação, área de especialização em Mediação Educacional. Configurada por uma metodologia de natureza qualitativa e alicerçada em pressupostos da investigação-ação, exploramos e desenvolvemos uma proposta de parentalidade transformativa, um constructo inovador que ambicionou envolver, motivar e capacitar as famílias para o exercício das suas responsabilidades parentais através da criação de espaços seguros e inclusivos de (auto)reflexão, (auto)consciencialização e (trans)formação parental. Perspetivamos, numa fase inicial do projeto, uma intervenção direta com os três vértices da tríade crianças/jovens-família-instituição, dando especial enfoque ao desenvolvimento de espaços de parentalidade transformativa com as famílias. É de notar que, durante o percurso de estágio, o projeto foi sujeito a reajustes quando nos vimos confrontados com a interrupção presencial das atividades devido a uma pandemia gerada na COVID-19. A reconfiguração do projeto à realidade que a situação pandémica provocou permitiu-nos ampliar a nossa intervenção a dinâmicas online de interação e desenvolver o site ComPrometo-Me, um Projeto orientado para a promoção de um espaço de comprometimento familiar e apoio à resposta social que orienta as instituições no envolvimento das famílias. Os resultados da nossa investigação/intervenção evidenciam a emergência de se investir no desenvolvimento de espaços positivos e inclusivos de aprendizagem que valorizem e capacitem as famílias dentro dos contextos de acolhimento residencial. Estes espaços surgem numa lógica de refortalecimento das relações afetivas familiares, revelando-se o constructo parentalidade transformativa pela mediação sociofamiliar profícuo e projetivo no seu alcance. Neste sentido, é possível e essencial a construção de sinergias transformativas por meio de múltiplos meios de intervenção, quer presencial, quer online, para envolver (educ)ativamente as famílias na vida dos seus filhos.

The progressive development of the practice of mediation and the contextual transversality that is characteristic of it allows us to associate it with different fields of action. We portray, in particular, an investigation/intervention by social-family mediation developed in a Reception House in Braga, within the scope of the Academic Internship of the 2nd Year of the Master in Education, specialization in Educational Mediation. Configured by a qualitative methodology and based on assumptions of action research, we explored and developed a transformative parenting proposal, an innovative construct that aimed to involve, motivate and enable families to exercise their parental responsibilities through the creation of safe spaces and inclusive of (self) reflection, (self) awareness and (trans) parenting. We anticipate, in an initial phase of the project, a direct intervention with the three vertices of the triad children/young people-family-institution, giving special focus to the development of spaces for transformative parenting with families. It is worth noting that, during the internship course, the project was subject to adjustments when we were faced with the interruption of activities due to a pandemic generated at COVID-19. The reconfiguration of the project to the reality caused by the pandemic situation allowed us to extend our intervention to online interaction dynamics and to develop the ComPrometo-Me website, a Project aimed at promoting a space of family commitment and supporting the social response that guides institutions in involving families. The results of our investigation/intervention show the emergence of investing in the development of positive and inclusive learning spaces that value and empower families within the context of residential care. These spaces appear in a logic of strengthening family affective relationships, revealing the constructive transformative parenting through the fruitful and projective socio-family mediation in its reach. In this sense, it is possible and essential to build transformative synergies through multiple means of intervention, either in person or online, to actively involve (educ) families in their children's lives.
