Um estudo sobre empreendedorismo de imigrantes brasileiros em Portugal

Abstract

Este estudo é dedicado aos empreendedores brasileiros imigrantes em Portugal, comunidade esta que vem se tornando, cada vez mais, expressiva e importante no contexto migratório português. Por se tratar de um grupo representativo devido sua força empresarial, o problema central desta pesquisa foi identificar as principais características empreendedoras adotadas por esta comunidade, apresentando as particularidades inerentes ao empreendedorismo imigrante desta etnia. O questionário foi o instrumento utilizado para a recolha dos dados, que embasaram toda a análise desta comunidade. Com isso é realizado a caracterização da amostra estudada (187 indivíduos) entendendo o seu perfil, categorizamos os tipos de empreendedores imigrantes existentes na comunidade brasileira, reconhecendo seus comportamentos estratégicos, conhecemos algumas barreiras de entrada no mercado enfrentadas, relacionamos os motivos que levam o imigrante brasileiro a iniciar uma atividade empreendedora em Portugal e analisamos os setores de mercado do negócio empreendedor e consequentemente o desenvolvimento de redes de apoio sociais que se estabelecem decorrente destes setores, principalmente no que diz respeito aos clientes. Os resultados mostram uma grande influência do nível educacional no ato do empreendedorismo brasileiro em Portugal, sendo muitas vezes preponderante na habilidade para empreender, bem como nos recursos financeiros iniciais para o negócio, nos setores de mercado escolhidos e consequentemente nas barreiras de entrada no mercado enfrentadas. Além disso, concluímos que o surgimento de uma oportunidade empresarial, a atividade empreendedora ser mais lucrativa do que adentrar no mercado português e a realização profissional e independência destacam-se como os principais motivos apresentados pela comunidade brasileira em Portugal para se submeter ao risco do empreendedorismo imigrante.

This study is dedicated to Brazilian immigrant entrepreneurs in Portugal, a community that is becoming increasingly expressive and important in the portuguese migratory context. As it is a representative group due to its entrepreneurial strength, the central problem of this research was to identify the main entrepreneurial characteristics adopted by this community, presenting the particularities inherent to immigrant entrepreneurship of this ethnic group. The questionnaire was the instrument used to collect the data, which supported the entire analysis of this community. This characterizes the studied sample (187 individuals), understanding their profile, categorizing the types of immigrant entrepreneurs existing in the Brazilian community, recognizing their strategic behaviors, we know some barriers to entry in the market, we list the reasons that lead the immigrant Brazilian to start an entrepreneurial activity in Portugal and we analyze the market sectors of the entrepreneurial business and consequently the development of social support networks that are established as a result of these sectors, mainly with regard to customers. The results show a great influence of the educational level in the act of Brazilian entrepreneurship in Portugal, being often preponderant in the ability to undertake, as well as in the initial financial resources for the business, in the chosen market sectors and consequently in the barriers of entry in the market faced . In addition, we conclude that the emergence of a business opportunity, the entrepreneurial activity being more profitable than entering the portuguese market and professional achievement and independence stand out as the main reasons presented by the Brazilian community in Portugal to submit to the risk of entrepreneurship immigrant.
