Tintin orphelin. Une approche du héros hergéen à travers le motif de l’enfant trouvé

Abstract

L’article focalise Tintin à la lumière du motif de l’enfant trouvé, motif récurrent dans la tradition littéraire occidentale et qui persiste dans les productions fictionnelles contemporaines. L’analyse des modalités et des enjeux dudit motif dans Les aventures de Tintin fait ressortir la singularité du profil héroïque du protagoniste dans le cadre d’une conception moderne de l’aventure qui prend chez Hergé une configuration spécifique : fils de personne, Tintin est un héros sans genèse, sujet d’une aventure autonome par rapport à la vie ordinaire et à ses deux piliers majeurs, à savoir l’ordre du temps et la sphère domestique et familiale. Nous cherchons à situer Tintin dans notre patrimoine fictionnel structuré par l’imaginaire héroïque et à décrire le sillon qu’il y a creusé.

El artículo analiza Tintin a la luz del motivo del niño abandonado, motivo recurrente en la tradición literaria occidental y que persiste en las producciones ficcionales contemporáneas. Estudiar los aspectos de este motivo y sus implicaciónes en Les aventures de Tintin hace sobresalir la singularidad del perfil heroico del protagonista en el contexto de la reconceptualización de la aventura a la que Hergé ha dado una configuración específica: hijo de nadie, Tintin es el héroe sin génesis, sujeto de una aventura desconectada de la vida cotidiana y de sus dos ejes principales, a saber el orden del tiempo y la esfera doméstica y familial. Nuestro objetivo es situar a Tintin dentro del patrimonio ficcional estructurado por lo imaginario heroico y describir el surco que ha cavado.

This paper examines Tintin in the light of the motif of the foundling, which is a recurring and persistent motif in Western literary tradition and in contemporary fictional productions. Studying the variations and implications of this motif in Les aventures de Tintin emphasizes the novelty of Tintin’s profile as a hero in the context of a re-conceptualization of the adventure to which Hergé has given a specific configuration: son of nobody, Tintin is a hero without genesis, a subject of an adventure disconnected from ordinary life and its major axes, namely the line of time and the domestic sphere. We aim to place Tintin within the fictional heritage, organized by the heroic imaginary, and to describe the furrow he has ploughed.
