inclusão escolar presente no cerne educacional.
investigação foi realizada no Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (Brasil), Campus Caicó. A pesquisa
This dissertation aims to identify and analyze the social representations of students of the Computer Technician course integrated with high school in view of the inclusion of students with disabilities in vocational education, specifically in Campus Caicó. The research emerged from the debate around school inclusion present in the educational core. The work identifies with the students' own understanding of the subject, aspects that can contribute to the improvement of education. We opted for a theoreticalmethodological framework on social representations, inclusion, inclusive education and vocational education. It is a qualitative descriptive research, having as method, the case study. The investigation was conducted at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), Campus Caicó. The research had as data source semi-structured interviews and the focus group technique, respectively, conducted with 05 (five) students with disabilities and 10 (ten) students without disabilities. Testimonials were collected from 06 (six) teachers from the selected classes as a way to broaden and strengthen the students' speeches. To analyze the data we use the Content Analysis approach. Although the official and legal discourse of inclusion policies has gained space in political and educational debates, it was noticed in the students' speech that prejudice is still a very strong issue within the social environment, which is not consistent with the social representation of the identified inclusion. From the speech of the students within the researched institution, it can be inferred that the inclusion in the IFRN / Campus Caicó is based on the social and institutional dimensions for students with disabilities, as well as without disabilities. We realize that the concept of inclusion in the institution is in a transition process with positive signs for inclusion, but it is still necessary to go a long way to meet the paradigm proposed. We understand that for a school to be truly inclusive, no student, regardless of race, ethnicity, social condition, physical condition, can be left out of the social and educational context. This shows how complex the proposal of inclusion is. |
