Desafios da auditoria de sistemas de informação : presente e futuro

Abstract

Na actual “era da globalização” assiste-se a uma grande dependência de informação, fomentada pelo aumento da capacidade de armazenamento e tratamento de informação que a tecnologia permite. Devido ao volume de informação utilizada, os Sistemas de Informação (SI) e Tecnologias de Informação (TI) tornam a sua utilização viável facilitando o seu tratamento. Assim sendo o recurso a SI e TI levantam questões relativamente à sua eficácia, eficiência, integridade e qualidade da unidade organizacional. Estas questão são de grande relevância para profissionais na área da auditoria de SI uma vez que têm a responsabilidade de avaliar e garantir a conformidade dos SI. Com este estudo identificaram-se os desafios com que os auditores de SI se confrontam, ou poderão confrontar no futuro. Inicialmente os desafios foram identificados recorrendo à revisão bibliográfica e posteriormente, recorrendo ao método Delphi com Q-Sort, foi pedido a um conjunto de auditores de SI previamente, selecionados e convidados, que procedessem à sua ordenação por importância. Foram executados dois estudos um para a auditoria externa de SI e outro para a auditoria interna de SI. No final dos dois estudos obtiveram-se os desafios que os auditores de SI consideram ser os desafios mais importantes para a auditoria externa e auditoria interna de SI nos próximos 5 a 10 anos.

In the current "age of globalization" we are witnessing a heavy reliance on information enhanced by increases in storage capacity and processing of information that technology allows. Due to the volume of information used, the Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) make their use feasible facilitating their treatment. Thus the use of IS and IT raises questions regarding its effectiveness, efficiency, integrity and quality of the organizational unit. These question are of great relevance to professionals in the field of auditing work since they have a responsibility to assess and ensure compliance of the SI. This study identified the challenges that the auditors faces or may faces in the future. Initially, the challenges were identified using the literature review and then, using the Delphi method with Q-Sort, was asked a set of SI auditors of previously selected and invited to undertake their ordering by importance. Two studies were performed for an external audit of SI and the other for the internal audit of SI. At the end of the two studies were obtained the challenges of IS auditors consider to be the most important challenges for the external audit and internal audit of IS in the next 5-10 years.
