O ensino de canto nos ramos genérico e vocacional do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico em Portugal: um estudo de caso múltiplo

Abstract

Este estudo propõe uma reflexão acerca da forma como se tem vindo a realizar o ensino de Canto em Portugal, no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, genérico e vocacional. Ambiciona-se a aquisição de dados relativos à ligação dos pressupostos programáticos com as práticas educativas, no que se refere a: adequação de objetivos, orientações curriculares, filosofias de base, competências, repertório e técnica vocal. Distinguir-se-ão três secções: a revisão de literatura, a investigação em pírica, e a análise e apresentação dos dados recolhidos. O estudo de caso múltiplo constituirá a base da presente investigação, a qual assentará num modelo primordialmente qualitativo, com o recurso a técnicas de análise documental, entrevista e questionário. Serão recolhidos elementos constitutivos de três grandes grupos dos dois ramos de ensino (genérico e vocacional): crianças que frequentam o 1º Ciclo, agentes educativos e titulares de cargos directivos com implicações pedagógicas. Serão também utilizadas técnicas de metodologia quantitativa na análise de alguns dos dados recolhidos. Esta pesquisa pretende ser um contributo para apreender o modo como é realizado o ensino de Canto no ensino público, propiciando um espaço de reflexão acerca das diferenças e semelhanças na aplicação dos programas e na efectivação deste ensino.

This study proposes a reflection on how the teaching of singing has been carried out in Portugal, in the general and vocational branches of the 1st cycle of basic education. The aim is the acquisition of data related to the connection of the programmatic assumptions with the educational practices, regarding: adequacy of objectives, curricular guidelines, basic philosophies, skills, repertoire and vocal technique. Three sections will be presented: the literature review, the empirical research, and the analysis and presentation of the collected data. The multiple case study will be the basis of this research, which will be structured on a primarily qualitative model, using document analysis, interview and questionnaire techniques. Elements will be collected from three major groups of the two branches of education (general and vocational): children attending the 1st cycle, educational agents and holders of management positions with pedagogical implications. Quantitative methodology techniques will also be used in the analysis of some of the data collected. This research intends to contribute to the understanding of how the teaching of singing in public schools is carried out, providing a space for reflection on the differences and similarities in the application of programs and in the effectiveness of this type of education.
