Resumo(s)[Excerpt] Quality is key to an organization’s success. In fact, being a pro fessional in this area is a great responsibility. The role of quality professionals consists of holding a spirit of leadership and hav ing patience to engage teams toward a commitment to quality. Quality teams must understand the importance of each detail, constantly seek improvement, and be aware of opportunities and changes in market environments. Thus, they should invest in good management that promotes customer loyalty. Product and service quality are judged by customers, so it is essential to focus on their needs and expectations. The delivery and maintenance of high-quality standards become progressively harder as a consequence of customers’ access to information because they become more demanding and self-aware. Organizations must keep up to date with market trends and embrace innovation. Concurrently, quality professionals must be responsible for involving everyone in the organization by promoting a commitment to quality and aiming the holistic development of the organization, their products and services that will be recognized by customers.
