A escrita de Maria Isabel César Anjo e a ilustração de Maria Keil. Um hino à natureza e à infância

Abstract

Neste ensaio, propõe-se uma leitura de quatro livros da autoria de Maria Isabel César Anjo e de Maria Keil: A Primavera é o tempo de crescer, O Verão é o tempo grande, O Outono é o tempo a envelhecer e O Inverno é o tempo já velho. Sublinhando a originalidade da sua escrita e da sua ilustração, este texto procura mostrar que estes livros são uma especial homenagem à natureza e à infância. Um dos principais objectivos consiste tamb´me em reflectir sobre o papel da ilustração, em especial acerca das relações que celebra com o texto verbal.

This article proposes a brief reading of four books written by Mana Isabel Cesar Ante and Illustrated by Maria Keil: A Primavera é o tempo a crescer, O Verão é o tempo grande, 0 Outono é o tempo a envelhecer and O Inverno é o tempo já velho. Stressing the originality of both text and illustrations, this study tries to show that these books are a kind of homage to nature and to childhood. This text also proposes a reflection on the role of illustration and especially on the relationships enacted between it and the verbal text.
