«O Pintor e o Pássaro». Uma releitura de Max Velthuijs

Abstract

Pretende-se, com este breve estudo, proceder a uma (re)leitura de um dos primeiros livros escritos por Max Velthuijs. Sublinhando a originalidade da sua composição, tanto linguística como ilustrativa e, especialmente, algumas das suas relações, é nosso objectivo registar certos aspectos do álbum O Pintor e o Pássaro cuja presença será/é fundamental nos volumes da colecção «O Sapo...».

The purpose of this short essay is to put forward a brief (re)reading of one of Max Velthuijs' first books. Stressing the originality of its composition, in terms of text, of illustration and especially of the relationships that it establishes, we aim to draw attention to some aspects of the picture story book The Painter and the Bird, whose presence in the well-known collection of Frog books will be fundamental.
