Julgamento moral, idade, sexo e delinquência juvenil: dados do ISRD-3

Abstract

Este estudo tem como objetivos avaliar se o julgamento moral, mediado pelo sexo, influencia a prática da delinquência juvenil e avaliar se o julgamento moral, mediado pela idade, influencia a prática da delinquência juvenil. O instrumento utilizado foi o Inventory Self Report Delinquency (ISRD3). O tamanho da amostra selecionado foi de 2006 participantes, constituída por jovens adolescentes do sexo feminino (53.2%) e sexo masculino (46.9%), com idades compreendidas entre os 11 e os 23 anos (M =15.00, DP = 2.08), a frequentarem entre o 7º (16.6%) e o 12º ano (16.8%) de escolaridade de escolas públicas (70.5%) e privadas (29.5%). Em relação aos objetivos e hipóteses estabelecidos neste estudo, os resultados mostram que as variáveis são estatisticamente significativas e predizem parcialmente uma diminuição dos comportamentos delinquentes. Desta forma, pode-se concluir que: há mediação parcial da variável idade na relação entre o julgamento moral e a delinquência juvenil e há mediação parcial da variável sexo na relação entre o julgamento moral e a delinquência juvenil. Para além disso, verificou-se uma correlação positiva entre todas as variáveis incluídas neste estudo. Estes resultados foram discutidos à luz da evidência empírica sobre a temática em questão.

This study aims to evaluate the moral judgment, mediated by sex, influences the practice of juvenile delinquency and assess whether moral judgment, mediated by age, influences the practice of juvenile delinquency. The instrument used was the Inventory Self Report Delinquency (ISRD3). The size of the selected sample of 2006 participants, consisting of young female adolescents (53.2%) and males (46.9%), aged between 11 and 23 years (M = 15.00, SD = 2.08), the attending between the 7th (16.6%) and 12 years (16.8%) of education in public schools (70.5%) and private (29.5%). In relation to the objectives and hypotheses established in this study, the results show that the variables are statistically significant and partially predict a decrease in delinquent behavior. Thus, it can be concluded that: there is partial mediation of the age variable in the relationship between moral judgment and juvenile delinquency and there are partial mediating variable sex in the relationship between moral judgment and juvenile delinquency. In addition, there was a positive correlation between all the variables included in this study. These results were discussed in the light of empirical evidence on the subject in question.
