O papel dos jogos lúdicos na construção do conhecimento das crianças na Educação Básica

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como tema O papel dos jogos lúdicos na construção do conhecimento das crianças na Educação Básica, inserido no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada I e II, inscrita no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, do Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho. Este tem como finalidade apresentar o projeto de investigação desenvolvido nos contextos de Educação Pré-Escolar, com um grupo de crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 3 e os 6 anos, e do 1.ºCiclo do Ensino Básico, com uma turma do 1.º ano. Com bases nas observações realizadas, percebi que as crianças têm uma participação mais ativa e efusiva quando o ensino e as aprendizagens são organizados através de atividades lúdicas. Perante estas observações foi sentida a necessidade de desenvolver uma investigação que tivesse como objetivo compreender o papel das atividades lúdicas no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. O planeamento do estudo e a realização do plano de intervenção foram estruturados com base na metodologia da Investigação-Ação, a qual se mostrou muito benéfica no decorrer deste processo. Os dados foram maioritariamente recolhidos por intermédio de observação direta, registo de notas em campo, gravações áudio, fotografias e trabalhos elaborados pelas crianças. Através da análise e reflexão dos dados reunidos, tornou-se manifesta a constatação de que, as atividades em prol do lúdico, são muito mais reveladoras para as crianças e são muito vantajosas para explorar, consolidar e aprofundar conceitos das mais diferentes áreas de conteúdo. As observações nestes contextos da utilização do lúdico, leva-nos a ponderar que cada vez mais somos redirecionados para a vertente lúdica e para a sua importância, assumindo uma relevância significativa quando falamos em educação. Desta forma, é essencial conhecer o potencial do lúdico, como recurso que beneficia a aprendizagem, a inclusão das crianças e o seu desenvolvimento tanto a nível pessoal como escolar. O trabalho elaborado ao longo deste estágio, possibilitou explorar atividades lúdicas, nas diferentes áreas curriculares, gerando meios pertinentes e promotores em aprendizagens.

This report addresses the theme of "The Role of Playful Games in Children's Knowledge Development in Basic Education" within the scope of Supervised Teaching Practice I and II, part of the Master's program in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education at the Institute of Education of the University of Minho. The purpose of this report is to present the research project conducted in the contexts of Pre-School Education, with a group of children aged between 3 and 6 years, and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, with a 1st-year class. Based on the observations made, I noticed that children exhibit more active and enthusiastic participation when teaching and learning are organized through playful activities. In light of these observations, there was a recognized need to conduct research with the objective of understanding the role of playful activities in the teaching and learning process. The study's planning and the implementation of the intervention plan were structured based on the Action Research methodology, which proved to be highly beneficial during this process. Data were primarily collected through direct observation, field notes, audio recordings, photographs, and works created by the children. Through the analysis and reflection on the gathered data, it became evident that activities centered around playfulness are much more revealing for children and offer significant advantages for exploring, reinforcing, and deepening concepts from various content and curricular areas. Observations in these contexts of using play lead us to consider that we are increasingly directed towards the playful aspect and its importance, assuming significant relevance when discussing education. Therefore, it is essential to understand the potential of play as a resource that benefits learning, the inclusion of children, and their personal as well as academic development. The work conducted throughout this internship allowed for the exploration of playful activities in different curricular areas, generating relevant means that promote learning.
