Definição do enquadramento de ferramentas Lean na indústria têxtil e do vestuário (ITV)

Abstract

A filosofia Lean, que se encontra muito disseminada na indústria transformadora, ainda não tem muita expressão no meio da indústria têxtil e do vestuário nacional, embora já se encontre em processo de divulgação e implementação pelos mais diversos setores da mesma pois as sucessivas crises económicas e constantes revoluções tecnológicas do setor, obrigaram a que os empresários e organizações procurassem formas de combater estas obstruções ao crescimento económico, evitando assim o colapsar dos seus negócios. Para conseguir aferir resultados, foi colocado um questionário online em fóruns frequentados por profissionais da indústria têxtil para permitir o acesso a todos e com o intuito de não enviesar a amostra de respostas recebidas. Assim, e após a realização desta dissertação, foi possível criar um perfil da organização que utiliza as ferramentas que estão ao dispor desta filosofia e também entender os motivos que levam as empresas e funcionários a implementar estas ferramentas onde se verificou que as organizações com volume de negócios entre 10M€ e 50M€ são as que mais utilizam as ferramentas que estão disponíveis, sendo que após análise pelos inquiridos a grande maioria possui um nível intermédio de Lean. Ficou também percetível que o número de funcionários não é relevante para que as organizações apostem neste tipo de ferramentas para otimizar recursos. No que aos funcionários que implementam este tipo de ferramentas diz respeito, verificou-se que possuem normalmente estudos superiores e que estão na organização num cargo de relevo, onde gerem um grupo de recurso e/ou pessoas e tem idades inferiores a 45 anos. As ferramentas mais utilizadas pelos inquiridos são 5Ss e Kaizen e trouxeram como principais benefícios o aumento da produtividade e redução de custos ao longo do processo.

The Lean philosophy, which is very widespread in the manufacturing industry, still doesn’t have much expression in the national textile and clothing industry, although it is already in the process of dissemination and implementation by the most diverse sectors of the industry because the successive economic crises and constant technological revolutions in the sector, forced entrepreneurs and organizations to look for ways to fight these obstacles to economic growth, thus avoiding the collapse of their businesses. To be able to measure results, an online questionnaire was posted in forums attended by professionals in the textile industry to allow access to all and in order not to bias the sample of responses received. Thus, and after completing this dissertation, it was possible to create a profile of the organization that uses the tools that are available to this philosophy and also understand the reasons that lead companies and employees to implement these tools where it was found that organizations turnover between €10M and €50M are the ones that most use the tools that are available, and after analysis by the interviewees, the vast majority have an intermediate level of Lean. It was also noticeable that the number of employees is not relevant for organizations to bet on this type of tools to optimize resources. Regarding employees who implement this type of tools, it was found that they usually have higher education and are in the organization in a prominent position, where they manage a resource group and/or people and are under 45 years of age. The tools most used by the interviewees are 5Ss and Kaizen, and their main benefits were increased productivity and reduced costs throughout the process.
