O Bow Hold Buddies na iniciação ao violino no ensino especializado da música

Abstract

O presente relatório é elaborado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Estágio Profissional, do 2º ciclo do Ciclo de Estudos Conducentes ao Grau de Mestre em Ensino de Música na Universidade do Minho, no ano letivo 2018/2019, incidindo sobre o projeto de intervenção pedagógica implementado com cinco alunos de iniciação do Conservatório de Música do Porto no ano 2018-2019, nos Grupos de Recrutamento M24 (violino) e M32 (Música de Câmara). O projeto de intervenção teve como objetivo avaliar as vantagens e desvantagens da utilização do acessório Bow Hold Buddies na iniciação ao violino. Este acessório tem como finalidade promover a correta pega do arco e é direcionado, normalmente, para as crianças. Dada a complexidade da aprendizagem inicial do violino, que exige, desde cedo, uma postura corporal correta, que pode ser bastante difícil para as crianças, procurou-se perceber se a utilização do acessório Bow Hold Buddies facilita a aprendizagem na iniciação ao instrumento, dado que a criança tem oportunidade de se concentrar em outros aspetos da execução. O acessório propicia a posição correta dos dedos, o que, por um lado, facilita a produção de som e, por outro lado contribui para evitar a tensão na mão direita, pois a sua construção proporciona uma sensação de leveza e conforto quando se pega no arco. Como instrumento avaliação dos resultados, foi realizado um questionário anónimo aos alunos de violino, no final do ano letivo, para perceber se a experiência com o acessório tinha sido positiva ou negativa. Verificou-se que apenas um aluno considerou o acessório excessivamente grande para a sua mão, tendo assim utilizado apenas uma parte, o peixe, indicado para o dedo mindinho. Os restantes alunos consideraram a experiência positiva, referindo que o acessório lhes tinha facultado ferramentas importantes para uma pega correta e mais fácil do arco, contribuindo para uma mais natural aprendizagem do violino.

The present report was elaborated in the ambit of the Curricular Unit of Professional Internship of the 2.º Cycle of Conductive Studies of the Masters Degree in Music Teaching on Minho University, on the academic year of 2018/2019, focusing on the project of pedagogical intervention implemented on five students of initiation of the Conservatory of Music of Porto, on the year 2018-2019 , on the groups of recruitment M24 (violin) and M32 (chamber Music). This intervention project aims to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the Bow Hold Buddies accessory on the initial learning process of the violin. The accessory has the finality to promote the correct handle of the bow, and its directed normally, for children use. Given the complexity of the initial learning of the violin, that demands, since early , a correct body posture, which can be quite difficult for children, it was sought to understand if the use of the Bow Hold Buddies accessory helps with the learning initiation of the violin, since , the child has the opportunity to focus on other aspects of the execution. The accessory provides the right position of the fingers, which makes, on one hand, easier to reproduce the sound, and on the other hand, avoids any tension on the use of the right hand, since this construction provides a sensation of lightness and comfort when grabbing the Bow. As a measuring instrument for evaluating results, it was performed an anonymous questionnaire to the violin students, on the ending of the academic year, to understand if the experience with the accessory was positive or negative. It was verified that only one student found the accessory excessively big for his hand, this made him use only a part of it, the “Fish”, that was indicated for the little finger. The rest of the students concluded that the experience was positive, claiming that the accessory had given them the important tools for a more correct and easier handling of the bow, thus contributing for a more natural learning experience of the violin.
