a perceção favorável e desfavorável do teletrabalho e o conflito bidirecional trabalho-família, enquanto,
The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the perception of telework and the workfamily and family-work conflict, through the mediating effect of stress and satisfaction with the family. With this goal, a questionnaire was applied to teleworkers from different sectors of activity and with different family backgrounds. There were obtained 248 valid responses. Several regression models were estimated in order to statistically evaluate the relationship between the variables under study and to test the formulated hypotheses. The results showed a relationship between the perception of telework (favorable and unfavorable) and work-family and familywork conflict. The results also indicated that a favorable perception of telework negatively influences both conflicts and an unfavorable perception positively influences interrole conflicts. The mediation models indicated that stress has a mediating effect on the relationship between the favorable and unfavorable perception of telework and the bidirectional work-family conflict, while family satisfaction only revealed a mediating effect on the relationship between the favorable perception of telework and family-work conflict without presenting any statistically significant results in the remaining relationships. After discussing the results, there are presented the main theoretical and practical contributions. This study not only contributes to the academic community but also presents great interest to organizations and practices of work-family balance. Some limitations that were found in the course of this work are also presented, which may support future investigations. |
