Descobrir, explorar, imaginar: a influência da música no desenvolvimento da criança

Abstract

O presente relatório, desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio do ciclo de estudos do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar ministrado no instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho no ano letivo 2019/2020, intitula-se de: Descobrir, Explorar, Imaginar: a influência da música no desenvolvimento da criança tendo sido implementado na mesma instituição cooperante, numa sala de atividades de creche e jardim de infância. Deste modo, através da observação dos interesses e motivações de ambos os grupos constatei, que embora em faixas etárias tão dispares, a temática de maior interesse era convergente permitindo-me estabelecer uma continuidade entre contextos, tornando a seguinte interrogação a grande questão de investigação: Compreender de que forma o recurso á expressão musical pode ou não contribuir para o desenvolvimento integral e integrado da criança? A implementação do projeto permitiu atingir todos os objetivos específicos a que me propus: reforçar atividades de maior contacto dos grupos com as diferentes formas de expressão e comunicação; compreender de que forma a música contribui para o desenvolvimento e aprendizagem da criança; permitir a construção de um olhar positivo das crianças sobre a música e fornecer um contacto com materiais diversificados com o intuito de estimular a intrusão da música Os grupos, mostraram-se sempre muito recetivos, interessados e motivados durante todas as propostas apresentadas contribuindo para o progresso das suas habilidades no domínio motor; afetivo e cognitivo refletindo-se na construção de novas aprendizagens. Para a devida concretização, todo o projeto de intervenção pedagógica, foi sustentado na abordagem da investigação-ação onde através dos seus fundamentos tornou-se possível a utilização de um conjunto de instrumentos de recolha de informação: as observações, os registos escritos, fotográficos e áudio que propiciou a construção, em ambos os contextos, da documentação pedagógica. Em suma, torna-se imperioso referir que a orientação do projeto nestes tramites provocou um melhoramento na minha postura, tornando-me profissionalmente mais reflexiva surtindo efeito na construção de novas aprendizagens pelos grupos que ficou evidenciado através do envolvimento demonstrado ao longo de toda a implementação das atividades.

The present report was developed within the scope of the internship curricular unit of the study cycle of the Master in Pre-School Education at the Education Institute of the University of Minho during the academic year of 2019/2020. This internship report is entitled 'Discover, Explore, Imagine: The influence of music on children's development', and it was implemented in a nursery activity room and in a kindergarten room at the same cooperating institution. Thus, through the observation of the interests and motivations of both groups, I found that, although in such dissimilar age groups, the thematic of greatest interest was convergent. This allowed me to establish continuity between contexts, which marks the following interrogation the major research question: Understand in which way the use of musical expression may or may not contribute to the child's integral and integrated development? The implementation of the project has permitted the achievement of all the specific objectives that I set for myself: to reinforce activities of greater contact of the groups with the different forms of expression and communication; to understand how the music contributes to the child's development and learning; to allow the construction for a positive view of children about music and provide contact with diverse materials in order to stimulate the intrusion of music. The groups always showed themselves very receptive, interested and motivated during all the presented proposals, contributing to the progress of their skills in the motor domain; affective and cognitive reflecting on the construction of new learning. For proper implementation, the entire pedagogical intervention project was based on the action-research approach where, through its foundations, the use of a set of information collection instruments was possible: observations, written records, photographic and audio that provided the construction, in both contexts, of the pedagogical documentation. In conclusion, it is imperative to mention that the orientation of the project in these procedures led to an improvement in my posture, making me professionally more reflective, having an effect on the construction of new learning by the groups that was evidenced through the demonstrated involvement throughout the entire implementation of the activities.
