Estratégias e dificuldades na tradução para língua não materna: experiência de tradução no BabeliUM

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos Interculturais Português/Chinês: Tradução, Formação e Comunicação Empresarial. O estágio curricular teve a duração de cinco meses e o trabalho realizado foi a tradução do Website do BabeliUM-Centro de Línguas do Instituto de Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade do Minho para o chinês. O relatório está dividido em dois Capítulos. O primeiro capítulo aborda os pressupostos teóricos no âmbito da tradução. É apresentada uma definição do tradutor e do que é a tradução especializada. São expostas também algumas teorias que comprovam a importância da cultura na tradução e as dificuldades de um tradutor para uma língua não materna. No final do capítulo fala-se da necessidade da tradução de um Website. No segundo capítulo é feita uma descrição do trabalho realizado, com foco principal nas ferramentas de tradução assistida por computador (TAC) e nos problemas encontrados ao longo da tradução realizada durante o estágio. No final, foram feitas algumas reflexões sobre esta experiência profissional na área de tradução de português para chinês.

This internship report is an academic work for the conclusion of the Master’s Degree of Portuguese/Chinese Intercultural Studies: Translation, Training and Business Communication. The curriculum internship had the duration of five months and the work accomplished focused on the translation from Portuguese into Chinese of the Website of BabeliUM - Language Center of the Institute of Arts and Humanities of the University of Minho. The report is divided in two parts. The first Chapter addresses the theoretical assumptions of translation, as well as a brief review on the role of the translator. A definition is presented about the translator and about specialized translation. Some theories that confirm about the importance of culture awareness for translation, and the difficulties of translating into a non-mother tongue are also exposed. The end of the Chapter speaks about the necessity of translating a Website. The second Chapter is a description, of the internship with the focus on the computer assisted translation tools (CAT) and the problems encountered in the translation process, with some reflections on this professional experience of translation from Portuguese to Chinese.

本篇实习报告是本人在中/葡跨文化研究—翻译、培训和企业交流硕士课 程第四学期的实习报告。实习为期五个月，工作内容为把米尼奥大学人文科学学 院BabeliUM语言中心的官网翻译成中文。 该报告分为两章。第一章从翻译理论的角度介绍了译者的工作和专业翻译 的定义。同时还回顾了一些文化知识在翻译中的重要性的理论， 以及非母语译者 翻译所面对的困难。本章最后讨论了翻译网站的重要性。 在第二章，描述了实习的具体情况，主要侧重于计算机辅助翻译工具的使 用以及实习期间翻译时遇到的问题。最后，对本次葡汉翻译的专业实习经历进行 了一些反思。
