Empréstimos do cantonês no patuá de Macau

Abstract

O crioulo de Macau tem por base a língua portuguesa falada no território, sendo também conhecido como patuá. De entre as línguas orientais, para além do malaio, o cantonês teve uma influência privilegiada neste crioulo. A presente dissertação visa estudar algumas das palavras tomadas de empréstimo ao cantonês na formação do patuá. Com base em documentos chineses e portugueses, conclui-se que existem empréstimos de várias espécies. Apontam-se também as causas históricas, culturais, sociais e linguísticas que conduziram a estes empréstimos, para depois se analisar a sua aplicação e evolução semântica. Foram escolhidas algumas palavras e expressões para comparar semanticamente o patuá e o cantonês. O patuá desempenhou, ao longo dos tempos, um importante papel na comunicação intercultural entre a China e Portugal. Atualmente, permanece pouco estudado mas, no contexto da crescente cooperação sino-portuguesa, surge como um tema de investigação pertinente. Pretende-se assim, com este estudo, contribuir para o estudo e proteção do patuá.

The Macao Creole is based on the Portuguese language which is spoken in the territory, and is also known as Patuá. Among the eastern languages, besides the Malay, the Cantonese had a privileged influence on this Creole. This study proposes to analyze “Macaense Patois word borrowing from Cantonese”. Based on Chinese and Portuguese documents, we can conclude there are several types of borrowing. We also point the historical, cultural, social and linguistic reasons which lead to these borrowings, then to analyze its application and semantic evolution. We chose some words and expressions to compare semantic differences between Patuá and Cantonese. Patuá has played an important role, through times, in intercultural communication between China and Portugal. Nowadays, it remains poorly investigated but, with the enormous intensification of Sino-Portuguese cooperation, it is a pertinent academic topic. We hope this essay can contribute for the study and preservation of Patuá.

澳门土生葡语又称澳门土语或土生葡文，以葡萄牙语为基础，在澳门通行。 在东方诸语言中，除了马来语以外，粤语对土生葡语的影响最深。 本文所要研究的重点，就是澳门土生葡语中粤语借用词。根据查阅到的中 葡文献，将所收集到的借用词进行多种分类, 以澳门的历史、文化、社会、以及 语言等因素为基础，研究土生葡语粤语借用词使用情况以及对其变化进行分析， 选取具有特色的词语作为土生葡语粤语借用词与粤语词语义项的比较。 在中葡文化交流中，土生葡语扮演着很重要的角色。现阶段, 中葡交流合作 增强，但是中国人对于澳门土生葡语研究很少，希望本文可以为土生葡语的研究 和保护提供一些材料。
