Iniciativas para um bom Antropoceno: economia verde versus civilização ecológica

Abstract

O termo “Antropoceno” é usado para fazer referência a uma nova época geológica que sucede ao Holoceno, representando uma nova etapa história do planeta, caracterizada por uma influência massiva da atividade humana. É claro que o impacto dos seres humanos na Natureza sempre foi correspondido com a influência desta na vida humana. O objetivo desta dissertação é analisar possíveis formas de evolução do Antropoceno, com destaque para duas abordagens representativas, que apontam duas direções que poderão conduzir a um “bom Antropoceno”: a Economia Verde preconizada pelas Nações Unidas e a Civilização Ecológica adotada pela China. Abordar-se-á as filosofias e culturas aparentemente subjacentes a essas abordagens, enquanto suportes teóricos de um desenvolvimento sustentável. Espera-se que a presente dissertação contribua para a compreensão da dinâmica do Antropoceno, desperte consciências e motive mudanças de comportamento em prol de uma relação mais harmoniosa com o meio ambiente. Concomitantemente, espera-se que a análise comparativa das duas culturas e das duas abordagens face ao Antropoceno permita uma melhor compreensão das diferenças e semelhanças entre a China e Portugal, de um ponto de vista filosófico.

The term "Anthropocene" is used to refer to a new geological era that follows the Holocene, representing a new stage in the planet’s History, characterized by a massive influence of human activity. Indeed, the impact of humans on Nature has always been matched by the influence of Nature on the human lives. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze possible forms of evolution of the Anthropocene, with emphasis on two representative approaches, which point to two different directions that could lead to a “good Anthropocene”: the Green Economy recommended by the United Nations and the Ecological Civilization adopted by China. In addition, we will address the philosophies and cultures that seem to underlie these approaches, as theoretical supports for sustainable development. It is hoped that this dissertation will contribute to the understanding of the Anthropocene’s dynamics, awaken consciences and motivate changes in behavior towards a more harmonious relationship with the environment. At the same time, it is expected that the comparative analysis of the two cultures and the two approaches to the Anthropocene will allow a better understanding of the differences and similarities between China and Portugal, from a philosophical point of view.

人类世指的是在全新世后地球最新的地质年代，它代表着人类和地球史上新的 发展阶段，其特征为人类对地球及自然的巨大影响。事实上，人类对自然的影响，同 自然对人类的影响一向都是相互对应的。 本论文的目的是探讨人类世可能发生的两种走向。在论文中，作者从联合国提 倡的绿色经济和中国采用的生态文明理念这两个角度来具体论述人类对于积极人类世 所做的两个不同方向的举措，此外，笔者还从哲学和文化的角度，结合其各自的人文 背景，试图探讨这两个举措的理论基础和可以带给我们的可持续发展的前景。 希望本文能有助于我们对人类世向积极方向发展的新思路，同时能唤醒人们对 进一步保护地球的良知并引发其行为的改变，从而为人类与环境建立更加和谐的关系 做出一点贡献。同时，笔者希望通过讨论东西方哲学在两种举措中的角色来对两种不 同的文化加以比较和交流，从而能够更好地理解中葡文化之间的异同。
