ontem, hoje e sempre! This study is based on a more sustainable city, where it provides its inhabitants with a better quality of life. With the increasing population in cities, a current reality, this quality of life is put to the test. With more users in health, education, transportation, services and infrastructure are starting to collapse. Therefore, urban mobility, that is, the conditions offered by the city that guarantee the free movement of people between different locations, is one of the biggest challenges today. With the increasing number of cars being thrown on the road each year, problems increase every day such as traffic jams, high levels of pollutant emissions, stress from people in traffic, crowded buses, noise etc. The shift from individual to collective transport is still undoubtedly one of the cities' hopes and exits in terms of mobility and pollution. Within this catastrophic scenario arises the need to seek new alternatives to the problem of mobility of cities, being the waterway can be a good alternative. The topography and geography of Brusque, a city adopted for the case study, provide the use of the Itajaí-Mirim river, since it cuts longitudinally the central region of the municipality and the coexistence between the inhabitants and the river is constant. To assess the social, economics and environmental impacts, this study presented a proposal to interage the existing bus and cycling network with a river transport line in the central region of the city. With this, meet the needs of public transport, reduce congestion and less polluting emissions. It has shown favorable and positive characteristics for implementations and operations, reduction of pollutant indices and ever greater integration of the population with the river and other public transport. The river, supporting the mobility of the inhabitants and the development of the city yesterday today and always! |
