de crianças com NEE” (Rodrigues & Pereira, 2017), adaptada The Acceptance Scale for
A repercussão destes
atitudes positivas efetivamente inclusivas.
naturais onde vivem cotidianamente. The proposal of school inclusion and the construction of an effectively inclusive education goes through the implementation of its values from the early grades. As the first stage of basic education, Preschool becomes an opportune space for establishing assertive relationships among preschool children. Such opportunities result from the possibility of establishing more positive interactions and attitudes between typically developing children (TD) and their peers with special educational needs (SEN). The purpose of this study was stipulated: To verify what attitudes children with TD demonstrate towards the inclusion of a child with SEN in their preschool group included in the private network in the cities of Salvador and Feira de Santana, in the Northeast region of Brazil. The methodological option adopted in this research is quantitative, descriptive and inferential in a sample of 75 children with DT, 5 years old, in private schools in the cities of Salvador and Feira de Santana. The data collection instrument used for this research was the “Attitude Scale for Inclusion in Preschool Children with SEN” (Rodrigues & Pereira, 2017), adapted from The Acceptance Scale for Kindergartners Revised (ASK-R), from Favazza and Odom (2014). The results of this investigation indicate that the variables gender, type of SEN and parental sensitization did not present statistically significant results regarding the attitudes of children with TD towards their peers with SEN. However, the variable interaction in other contexts suggests that children with TD who relate outside the school environment with other children with SEN show more positive attitudes towards the inclusion of their peers with SEN in the school context. The repercussion of these results can stimulate the school, professional and family spaces to be increasingly aware of the contexts of children and their interpersonal relationships in the establishment of effectively inclusive positive attitudes and interactions. The principle of inclusion as a value to be implanted in society encompasses all subjects involved in the integral formation and development of the human being, whether children with TD or SEN, both in school contexts and in the natural contexts where they live daily. |
