This work aimed to analyze the last five years’ research on feedback and its effect on student learning. This analysis resulted from a bibliographic review and gave rise to a new investigation hypothesis. It is observed that feedback is a tool of high importance in the involvement of students in the school tasks. Consequently, there is an improvement on their learning, increasing their motivation, self-efficacy and probability of reaching a stage of self-regulation. There are different ways of generating feedback in students - through effective classroom questioning, formative evaluation, and homework. Everyone can provide students with information about their progress as a factor of involvement and learning. It will be important to investigate the knowledge that teachers, students and parents / guardians have on feedback, and their relationship with student involvement in learning. To do so, we suggest an exploratory study in this area which will involve students from ten fifth-grade classes (N = 250), from two public schools, as well as the respective teachers and caregivers. The collection of information and data will be carried out from surveys to students and interviews to teachers and parents / guardians, specifically prepared for this purpose. |
