Optometry in an ophtalmology environment

Abstract

The main purpose of this work was to compile a series of clinical cases seen in an ophthalmologic clinic between February and May 2018. The clinical cases are from patients seen between this period by means of complementary examination techniques such as campimetry, optical coherence tomography, retinography, angiography, ocular topography, biometry, endothelial counting, ultrasound biometry and electrophysiologic tests, or undergoing visual therapy or during an optometric examination where visual acuity, refraction, tonometry and primary evaluation of binocular and pupillary status were evaluated. The cases belong to the different departments of the clinic, including general ophthalmology, cataract, cornea, glaucoma, ocular motility and strabismus, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic, pediatrics, retina and contactology. For each case a brief discussion is provided justified with relevant literature.
