dc.description.abstract | According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we all have the right to health and wellbeing. Yet, there are still millions of people to whom this right is denied. Introducing this issue on education since the earliest years of schooling can contribute to raise public awareness about it and inspire actions to achieve the sustainable development goals, namely SDG 3. To inspire teachers to transform their practices and connect the curriculum and classroom context with global issues, as this, the Portuguese team of the Global Schools project developed a didactic resource: The roulette of vaccines. To assess the feasibility of the resource, it was tested and discussed with teachers and educators involved in Development and Global Citizenship Education, who were able to try it in two workshops (one national with 10 participants and one international with 16 participants). After that, all participants answered a questionnaire about the resource. Results point out that the didactic proposal is feasible, adequate for children, allows the achievement of the desired objectives and is adjustable to different ages and different contexts, both formal and informal, and in different countries. Besides, some of the participants considered that it could be adjust to other issues like access to clean water or education. | por |
