Resumo(s)Tourism is a field of studies characterized by diversity and interdisciplinary and dominated by empiricist/positivist approaches. This book—a contribution to Ashgate’s “New directions in Tourism Analysis”—follows a different path, by assembling a robust theoretical framework to explore the intersections of cityscapes and touristscapes, using American pragmatist Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic theory and a large group of contributions by other thinkers, and Budapest as an empirical ground.
