O percorrer do Corgo a Alvações pela Linha do Corgo: rotas de valorização da paisagem

Abstract

Este projecto de investigação é um exercício de reflexão que permite descodificar a forma de intervir para reactivar um caminho antigamente feito pela linha ferroviária do Corgo. Sendo um percurso desactivado pelo Estado mas apreciado pela população tornou-se necessária a requalificação da linha para reaproveitar este itinerário deixado ao esquecimento. Uma vez que se denotam uma serie de trabalhos para manter a linha como percurso em funcionamento reconheceu-se a necessidade de oferecer à comunidade um novo caminho valorizando aquilo que melhor caracteriza o território. Este enunciado formaliza-se através da escolha de uma amostra da Linha do Corgo correspondente ao troço Corgo - Alvações onde ainda não foi realizada nenhuma intervenção. Numa primeira instância recorre- se a uma análise com base em ortofotomapas e cartografias que permitem caracterizar alguns elementos mais marcantes no território. De seguida, com uma análise bastante apoiada pela impressão in situ adquirida no acto de percorrer, foram construídos diferentes estudos que sintetizam o que é percorrer neste troço da linha do Corgo. O posicionamento destes estudos encontra-se assente na acção do percorrer a linha e deambulações fora da linha resultando numa compilação de estudos que sintetizam a compreensão da paisagem em si. Desta análise ressaltaram vários aspectos que dariam o mote para a intervenção. Através da exploração das acções do ver, do percorrer e do interagir, estabeleceu-se o tema de rotas de valorização da paisagem como plano de acção. Através deste tema foram estipuladas diferentes rotas tendo em conta elementos característicos desta paisagem: a rota da vinha e da oliveira, a rota do xisto, a rota da água e a rota dos miradouros. O projecto é desenvolvido através de pequenas actuações pontuais no território que marcam o lugar e caracterizam as acções que foram anteriormente propostas.

This thesis in an exercise of reflection that allows to decode the way of intervining to reactivate a trail once made by the Corgo railway line. Being a path deactivated by the State but appreciated by the population, the requalification of the railway line became necessary to reuse this path left to oblivion. Once a series of works are denoted to keep the line as a working course it was recognized the need to offer the community a new path that values what best characterizes the territory. This statement is formalized by choosing a sample of the old Corgo line, corresponding to the Corgo-Alvações section where no intervention has yet been performed. In the first instance, an analysis based on orthophotomaps and cartographies is used to characterize some of the most striking elements in the territory. Then, with an analysis well supported by the in situ impression acquired in the act of going through, different studies were constructed that deal with sub-themes developed around this main action. The positioning of these studies is based on the action of walking the line and wandering off the line resulting in a compilation of studies that synthesize the understanding of the landscape itself. Through the exploration of the actions of seeing, of walking and of interacting, the theme of landscape valorization routes was established as a plan of action. Throughout this theme were stipulated different routes taking into account the characteristic elements of this landscape: the route of the vine and the olive tree, the route of the shale, the route of the water and the route of the sites with panoramic views. The project is developed through small, timely actions in the territory that mark the place and characterize the actions that were previously proposed.
