Representações da escola pelas crianças em medida de acolhimento residencial

Abstract

O presente trabalho constitui-se numa discussão acerca das crianças que vivem em medida de acolhimento residencial e sua relação com a escola. Seu principal objetivo é conhecer e discutir as percepções das crianças sobre a experiência escolar. Com o presente estudo buscou-se ouvir as crianças, de forma a interpretar as representações e significados que estes sujeitos em espaço de acolhimento têm acerca de sua participação no projeto social. A criança é atualmente vista como um sujeito constituído de direitos, reconhecida recentemente, pois durante muito tempo esta não era enxergada com estatuto próprio em seus direitos. A partir da dimensão dos direitos de participação das crianças, inscrita nos documentos internacionais como a Convenção sobre os Direitos da Criança (ONU, 1989), estas passaram a ter reconhecida a sua capacidade de participar de atividades e decisões que as afetam, onde insere-se o direito de expressar suas opiniões livremente, lhes conferindo um estatuto de ator social legítimo. A referida investigação parte do ponto de vista destes sujeitos, posteriormente analisada e interpretada. Para elaborar este estudo, optou-se por uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa, através de um Estudo de Caso, onde utilizou-se um conjunto de instrumentos como a entrevista, registros gráficos das crianças, observações participantes para capturar os depoimentos dos sujeitos informantes recolhidos no decorrer da investigação, fundamentada nos testemunhos das crianças e levando em consideração os aspectos éticos na pesquisa feita com crianças. O resultado obtido reflete a parceria, o respeito e a confiança no decorrer do processo entre a investigadora e as crianças. Os dados de campo, interpretados a luz da literatura inserida no campo da sociologia da infância, mostram que as crianças atribuem importância à escola como espaço de aprendizagem e que, no geral, gostam de frequentá-la. Mostram ainda que, embora existam depoimentos que deixem transparecer situações mais marcadas de preconceito, o acolhimento residencial das crianças investigadas não interfere significativamente na forma como elas representam a escola.

The present work constitutes a discussion about the children living in residential care measure and its relation with the school. Its main objective is to know and discuss the perceptions of the children about the school experience. With the present study we sought to listen to the children, in order to interpret the representations and meanings that these subjects in host space have about their participation in the social project. The child is now seen as a newly constituted subject of rights, since for a long time it was not seen with its own status in its rights. From the dimension of children's rights of participation, as recorded in international documents such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN, 1989), they have recognized their capacity to participate in activities and decisions that affect them, The right to express their opinions freely, granting them a status of legitimate social actor. The mentioned investigation starts from the point of view of these subjects, later analyzed and interpreted. In order to elaborate this study, a qualitative methodological approach was chosen, through a Case Study, where a set of instruments such as the interview, graphic records of the children, participant observations were used to capture the testimonies of the informants collected during the course Based on the children's testimonies and taking into account the ethical aspects of the research done with children. The result obtained reflects the partnership, respect and trust in the course of the process between the researcher and the children. The field data, interpreted in the light of the literature in the field of sociology of childhood, show that children attach importance to the school as a learning space and that, in general, they like to attend it. They also show that, although there are testimonies that show more marked situations of prejudice, the residential reception of the children investigated does not significantly interfere in the way they represent the school.
