Juventude Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa: um meio para educar

Abstract

O relatório aqui apresentado insere-se no âmbito do estágio profissional do Mestrado em Educação, área de especialização em Educação de Adultos e Intervenção Comunitária, da Universidade do Minho. Este projeto realizou-se no Centro Comunitário da vila de Prado da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, nomeadamente no núcleo local da Juventude Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, tendo sido seu público-alvo os jovens voluntários do referido núcleo. Olhar para o voluntariado numa dupla perspetiva, a de ajudar os mais desfavorecidos, por um lado, e a de ser oportunidade de capacitação, aprendizagens e participação do voluntário, por outro lado, foi a linha que orientou o trabalho realizado neste estágio. Este relatório tem uma estrutura assente em oito partes. Primeiro a Introdução, que identifica o enquadramento académico e institucional do estágio e os principais aspetos abordados em cada uma das seguintes secções. O enquadramento contextual faz a caraterização da instituição em que decorreu o estágio, do território envolvente (concelho de Vila Verde),do público-alvo e, ainda, dos objetivos do estágio. A terceira parte aborda, do ponto de vista teórico, a problemática do voluntariado desde os seus aspetos mais generalistas até à especificidade do voluntariado na comunidade local, tendo em conta o paradigma atual do voluntariado e a dimensão socioeducativa do mesmo. A secção seguinte, a quarta, é dedicada aos aspetos metodológicos que enquadraram o estágio. Na quinta parte apresentam-se todas as atividades realizadas e o que as mesmas implicaram: recursos humanos, recursos materiais, número de participantes, objetivos, descrição da atividade e sua avaliação. Por fim será feito um balanço do trabalho realizado no estágio ao nível das aprendizagens adquiridas, assim como do significado das mesmas do ponto de vista pessoal, institucional e académico. This report refers to the professional training of the Master's degree in Education, specialization area in Education of Adults and Community Intervention, of the University of Minho. This project took place in the Community Center of the Portuguese Red Cross, in the town of Prado, namely within the local Red Cross Youth group, the target public being its voluntary youths. The work achieved in this training can be viewed from a dual perspective: as help for less priviledges whilst simultaneously serving as a training and learning opportunity for the volunteer. This report’s structure is divided into eight parts. Firstly the Introduction, which identifies the academic and institutional framework of the training and the main aspects approached in each of the sections that follow. The contextual framing includes the characterization of the institution in which the training occurred, of the surrounding territory (Vila Verde), of the target audience and of the objectives of the training. The third part approaches, from a theoretical point of view, the problem of volunteering from its more generalist aspects to the specificity of volunteering within the local community, considering the current paradigm of volunteering and it`s social and educational dimension. The following section, the fourth, is dedicated to the methodological aspects that framed the training. In the fifth section the activities and their implications are presented: human resources, material resources, number of participants, objectives, descriptions of the activities and evaluation of the same. Finally an examination of the work accomplished in the training at the level of the acquired learning is made as well as it meaning on a personal, institutional and academical level.
