A prática psicológica em contextos educativos: reflexão sobre a atividade profissional

Abstract

É longa a tradição de trabalho dos psicólogos nas instituições de educação especial, verificando-se uma progressiva integração destes profissionais nos agrupamentos de escolas da rede pública. A psicologia escolar tem ocupado um papel de relevo no panorama educacional, aglutinando um conjunto de saberes e boas práticas aplicadas ao contexto escolar, com o objetivo de promover o desenvolvimento integral do aluno e o sucesso educativo. Atende a diversos públicos (alunos, professores, encarregados de educação, escola e comunidade educativa), com níveis de intervenção (preventivo, remediativo e promocional) e sobre diferentes domínios (académicos, socioemocionais e vocacionais). Com o intuito de demonstrar as competências-chave adquiridas na área da Psicologia Escolar e da Educação, no presente relatório descrevem-se as atividades desenvolvidas nos últimos cinco anos de trabalho, enquanto psicóloga escolar em diversos agrupamentos de escolas da rede pública. Identificadas e caracterizadas as principais problemáticas, relacionadas com a aprendizagem, comportamento e atitudes dos alunos, e as necessidades dos contextos educativos, descrevem-se as atividades de avaliação e intervenção psicoeducacional a alunos e agentes educativos, atividades de orientação vocacional e ações de promoção do sistema de relações da comunidade educativa, enquadrando-as nas diferentes modalidades de avaliação e intervenção psicológica. Conclui-se com uma reflexão sobre o papel do psicólogo escolar, enquanto especialista de processos e gestor de recursos, teoricamente orientado pelo modelo psicoeducacional-sistémico-ecológico, antecipando os principais constrangimentos e desafios à prática profissional neste contexto.

There is a long tradition of psychologists in special education institutions and progressive integration of these professionals in the public schools. The school psychology has played a major role in the educational landscape, bringing together a set of knowledge and best practices applied to the school context, in order to promote the comprehensive development of the student and the educational success. It serves various target population (students, teachers, parents, school and educational community), with levels of intervention (preventive, remedial and promotional), on different fields (academic, social-emotional and vocational). In order to demonstrate the key skills acquired in School Psychology and Education fields, in this report we describe the activities undertaken in the last five years, working as school psychologist in different public schools. The main problems related to learning, behavior and attitudes of students are identified and characterized, as well as the needs of educational settings. We also describe the evaluation activities and psychoeducational intervention to students and educators, vocational guidance activities and actions to promote system of relations of the educational community, framing them in the types of methods of evaluation and psychological intervention. We conclude with a reflection on the role of the school psychologist, as specialist processes and resource manager, theoretically guided by psychoeducational-systemic-ecological model, and anticipate the main constraints and challenges to professional practice in this context.
