Contributo para o mapeamento de responsabilidades e atividades em empresas de TI

Abstract

A estrutura de uma organização de tecnologias de informação (TI) é fundamental para a obtenção de bons resultados. As organizações necessitam de inspirar os seus processos de trabalho em boas práticas e este projeto surge da necessidade da i2S – Sistemas e Serviços, S.A em sistematizar um modelo de mapeamento de responsabilidades. O objetivo desta dissertação é aprofundar o estudo sobre as estruturas organizacionais nas empresas de TI, especialmente na área de produto e serviços, tendo como suporte os vários referenciais existentes, como PMBOK, SFIA, RUP, ITIL, entre outros. No entanto, estes referenciais apenas mapeiam parte das dimensões necessárias para retratar a realidade das organizações e não existe documentação relevante sobre as associações destes com as estruturas organizacionais em empresas de TI. O trabalho inicia com uma revisão geral da literatura atual, permitindo uma definição e aclaração de temáticas e, numa fase posterior, utiliza a metodologia Design Science Research fundamentada através da análise aos documentos internos da organização e uma série de entrevistas semiestruturadas e reuniões com diretores e responsáveis pelas áreas de recursos humanos, qualidade, e serviços permitindo desenvolver um modelo que auxilia a representação da estrutura organizacional em termos de capacidades e atividades. Este modelo será alvo de várias iterações e refinamentos até à sua implementação em ambiente real na i2S.

The structure of an information technology (IT) company is fundamental to achieve good results. The companies need to inspire their work processes in good practices and this project arises from the need of i2S - Sistemas e Serviços, S.A. systematize a responsability mapping model. The aim of this dissertation is deeppen the study about the organizational structures of the IT companies, specially in the product and services area. This study is being supported by several existing frameworks, like PMBOK, SFIA, RUP, ITIL, among others. Nevertheless, these references only map a part of the necessary dimensions to portray the reality of the organizations and, there is no relevant documentation about the associations of these with the organizational structures in IT companies. The work will start with a general review of literature, that will allow a definition and clarification of the thematic and, in a subsequent phase, it will be used the methodology Design Science Research, grounded by the analysis to internal documents of the above mentioned company and several semistructured interviews and meetings with the directors and responsible persons for human resources, quality, development and services areas, that will allow to develop a model that would help to represent the organizational structure regarding activities and competences. This model will be subjected to a number of interactions and refinements until its real environmental implementation in i2S.
