Crescer com os outros: a aprendizagem cooperativa e o trabalho de grupo como estratégias fundamentais no desenvolvimento de competências sociais: o contributo do Projeto Curricular Integrado

Abstract

A presente investigação realizou-se com um grupo de vinte e cinco crianças pertencentes ao 3.º ano de escolaridade, com 8 e 9 anos de idade, e teve como principal objetivo analisar o contributo da implementação do trabalho de grupo cooperativo para o desenvolvimento de competências sociais. Por isso, são apresentadas algumas das atividades realizadas com e pelas crianças ao longo do Projeto Curricular Integrado, que teve como núcleo globalizador “Navegar no tempo antigo: Vamos mergulhar e descobrir a História da Cidade de Braga?”, onde se pretende espelhar a participação da criança no seu processo de aprendizagem e no desenvolvimento de competências sociais como o respeito pelo outro, a negociação, a cedência, a partilha e a liderança, a participação, entreajuda e a cooperação. A investigação reveste-se de características da investigação-ação, recorrendo a um ciclo de observação, planificação, intervenção e reflexão da ação desenvolvida, onde o investigador foi participante. Para efeito de avaliação do projeto de intervenção e consequentes aprendizagens, foram utilizados diferentes dados recolhidos através de técnicas como a observação participante, as entrevistas informais aos alunos, os registos fotográficos, as produções/ trabalhos realizados pelos alunos, as suas opiniões, interações e reações nas atividades desenvolvidas. De um modo geral, as práticas de cooperação entre o grupo no desenvolvimento do Projeto Curricular Integrado proporcionaram diversas aprendizagens, principalmente a aprendizagem cooperativa. Os grupos de trabalho demonstraram-se cada vez mais unidos e os seus elementos mais envolvidos na tarefa, pois reconheciam que o resultado só era obtido com a participação de todos, ou seja, sem a ajuda mútua e sem cooperação não conseguiam resolver o trabalho com sucesso, percebendo assim que sozinhos não o teriam conseguido. Os alunos foram capazes de encorajar os seus colegas a participar e a partilhar as suas ideias para realizar a tarefa, ouviam as indicações dos colegas referentes a estratégias através da comunicação verbal que apelava ao encorajamento, foram capazes de pedir ajuda e ajudar os colegas com dificuldades, resolvendo os problemas sozinhos, ou seja, deram o seu contributo e manifestaram que aprenderam uns com os outros, fomentando assim a comunicação que permitiu o desenvolvimento de relações sociais, de respeito e confiança e a promoção de competências como saber ouvir, o saber comunicar, o saber estar e o saber ser. A investigação possibilitou uma reflexão sobre a metodologia da aprendizagem cooperativa e revelou as vantagens que esta proporciona aos alunos, no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento pessoal, cognitivo e principalmente ao nível social.

The present investigation was carried out with a group of twenty-five children belonging to the 3rd year of schooling, with 8 and 9 years of age, and had as its main objective to analyze the contribution of the implementation of cooperative group for the development of social skills. Therefore presented some of the activities carried out with and for children throughout the Integrated Curricular Project, which had as its globalizing core "Navigate in ancient time: let's dive in and discover the history of the city of Braga?", where if you intend to mirror the child participation in the learning process and in the development of social skills such as respect for each other, the transfer, sharing and leadership, participation, assistance and cooperation. The investigation of characteristics of research-action, using a cycle of observation, planning, intervention and reflection of action developed, where the investigator was a participant. For the purpose of evaluation of the intervention project and consequent learnings, we used different data collected through techniques such as participant observation, informal interviews students, photographic records, the work carried out by students, their views, interactions and reactions in the activities developed. Generally speaking, the practice of cooperation between the group in the development of the Integrated Curricular Project provided several learnings, mainly cooperative learning. The working groups have shown themselves increasingly united and its elements more involved in the task, because they recognized that the result was only achieved with the participation of all, i.e. without the mutual assistance and without cooperation could not resolve the work successfully, realizing that alone wouldn't have made it. Students were able to encourage his colleagues to participate and share their ideas on how to accomplish the task, heard the indications of colleagues about strategies which appealed the encourage, through verbal communication, were able to ask for help and helping colleagues with difficulties, solving the problems alone, i.e., contributed and expressed what they learned with each other by fostering the communication that has enabled the development of social relations, of respect and confidence and the promotion of skills as listening, communicating, knowing and knowledge. The investigation led to a reflection on the methodology of cooperative learning and revealed the advantages that this provides to students concerning to personal development, cognitive and social level mainly.
