A utilização de textos filosóficos nas aulas de filosofia: a sua importância e aplicação

Abstract

O presente trabalho, intitula-se “Utilização de Textos Filosóficos nas Aulas de Filosofia: a sua importância e aplicação.“ Corresponde ao relatório de estágio realizado durante o Mestrado Ensino da Filosofia no Ensino Secundário, que decorreu durante o ano lectivo de 2013/2014 no agrupamento de Eco-Escolas de Vilela, Concelho de Paredes, Distrito do Porto. O trabalho relatado neste trabalho divide-se em duas partes ma primeira de carácter investigativo e uma segunda parte de carácter mais prático. Tal como o título indica, pretendi com este relatório desenvolver um trabalho filosófico baseado na leitura de textos filosóficos. Para concretizar este objectivo, pensei ser fundamental abordar a questão de dois pontos de vista que são usualmente vistos como separados, mas que, procurarei defender ao longo do trabalho, não estão necessariamente em conflito: a hermenêutica e a lógica informal A importância da hermenêutica, tentarei mostrar, reside nos métodos propostos para a leitura de textos, que é uma parte essencial da discussão filosófica. Embora insuficiente por si, defenderei que em combinação com os métodos e técnicas da lógica informal, se poderá concretizar o objectivo da disciplina filosófica de ser o verdadeiro “lugar crítico da razão.” A combinação dos dois métodos permitirá que as aulas não sejam somente interpretação de textos, nem uma tentativa de discussão de problemas filosóficos e as soluções propostas ao longo do tempo, desligadas da história da disciplina. Este relatório procura, além disso, ilustrar o trabalho prático desenvolvido durante o estágio. A avaliação das atitudes dos alunos em relação aos métodos usados durante o estágio permitem apontar na direcção da sua eficácia ou ineficácia.

The present work is entitled “The Use of Philosophical Texts in the Philosophy Classroom: it’s importance and application,” and summarizes to the work done during the internship that is a part of the Masters Course in the Teaching of Philosophy in Secondary school, that took place during the 2013/2014 school year in the Eco-Escolas Group, in Paredes, area of Vilela, District of Porto. The work to which this report refers to is divided into two parts, the first is of a more investigative nature and a second part of a more practical nature. As the title indicates, I tried to develop a philosophical practice based on philosophical texts during the period of internship. In order to accomplish this goal, I thought it fundamental to approach the question from two points of view that are usually considered to be in opposition, but that, as I will try to show during this work, do not necessarily conflict: hermeneutics and informal logic. The importance of hermeneutics, I will try to show, resides in the methods it proposes for the reading of texts, which is a part of the philosophical discussion. Though by itself insufficient, I will propose that if it is combined with the methods and the techniques of informal logic, we can accomplish the objective of making the philosophy class the “place of critical reason.” The combination of the two methods allows for the philosophy classes to be not only the interpretation of texts, nor a discussion of philosophical problems and of the solutions proposed throughout its history, independently of the history of philosophy. This works aims also to illustrate the practical work that took place during the internship. The evaluation of student’s attitudes toward the methods employed during this internship allow me to speak to its efficacy, or it’s inefficacy.
