(p=0,048).
Conclusões: O treino permite melhorar o rendimento obtido no desempenho
In almost every sport you must have a perfect idea of the surrounding area as well as the location of objects in that space. The use of twin base prisms leads to an apparent increase adaptability, which should lead to a better understanding and mapping of the environment. The effect of the prisms influences the perception of the surrounding environment, and this effect is quite investigated towards reducing the negligence of parts of the visual field and posture abnormalities. The increase (or not) of the performance in certain tasks, due to the training with the use of prisms, is still unknown. We compared the initial and final scores obtained by 47 subjects (32 women and 15 men with a mean age of 20:55 ± 1.43 years) that, spread over three different groups, participated in the study. This score was obtained by the launch of 10 darts at a target at a distance of 3 meters. The difference between the three groups was in the training they underwent: the first group with no training plan, the second with a workout plan and the third group with the same workout plan but using glasses with twin base prisms. When comparing the score, it was found that in the second measure there was a somewhat higher score and a decrease in the standard deviation in both groups who had the training phase. The group that trained with prisms obtained a final score higher on average 16.43 points (p = 0.001) while the group that trained without prisms improved on average 13.36 (p = 0.009). The group that received no training did not have statistically significant differences between the two measurements. Regarding the homonymous laterality it was found that, although not statistically significant, there is a tendency to better results after training with twin base prisms glasses. For cross laterality the group that trained with prisms showed a score, on average, 10.94 points higher than those who did not train (p = 0.048). Conclusions: The training improves the performance obtained in the task. In general, there are no significant differences between training with or without prisms but depending on the type of laterality it appears that for the cross laterality, training with the use of prisms leads to a higher score. |
