Resumo(s): | O presente estudo procura compreender se existe alguma relação entre a colaboração
terapêutica e a concordância psicofisiológica.
The present study aims to understand if there is a relation between the therapeutic collaboration and the psychophysiologic concordance. For that, simultaneous measures of the heart rate and the skin conductance were used in 9 clients diagnosed with Major Depression Disorder and their respective therapists, which used cognitive behavioural therapy during the first session of psychotherapy. The therapeutic collaboration indicates if during an interaction therapist and client coordinate or not their actions, existing or not collaboration, respectively, which was identified using the Therapeutic Collaboration Coding System. This system allows the identification of 18 kinds of interactive episodes, of which the 5 most frequent were selected. Psychophysiologic concordance between therapist and client was then calculated for each of these 5 episodes, in both psychophysiological measures. The heart rate results suggest that there is not a psychophysiologic concordance in both presence and absence of therapeutic collaboration. The skin conductance results suggest that there is a higher psychophysiologic concordance in the episodes where the therapeutic collaboration is present, compared to the episodes it isn’t. Results will be discussed regarding the empirical literature in this field and in terms of their clinical relevance as well. |
