As perspetivas dos professores sobre continuidade educativa na "atividade física e desportiva": um estudo de caso num agrupamento de Braga

Abstract

O presente estudo pretende analisar e refletir sobre a existência ou não de continuidade educativa entre as práticas desenvolvidas no âmbito das Atividades de Enriquecimento Curricular (AEC) do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (1.º CEB), mais propriamente na Atividade Física Desportiva (AFD) e aquelas que são desenvolvidas no âmbito da disciplina de Educação Física, no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (2.º CEB). Deste modo, pretende-se verificar se as mudanças realizadas nas escolas do 1.º Ciclo com a introdução das AEC influenciam as práticas do 2.ºCiclo, provocando alterações ao nível das propostas curriculares. Assim, podemos dizer que este estudo centra-se na AEC de AFD ao nível da passagem/transição do 1.º Ciclo para o 2.º Ciclo. O estudo enquadra-se num paradigma de investigação de caráter qualitativo, com o recurso a instrumentos de recolha de dados adequados os seus pressupostos. Segue as orientações e procedimentos de um estudo de caso, onde os sujeitos de investigação são um grupo de professores da AEC de AFD das escolas do 1.º CEB e de professores de 2.º CEB de Educação Física pertencentes a um agrupamento de Escolas do concelho de Braga. Os métodos utilizados na recolha dos dados foram a análise documental, as entrevistas presenciais e escritas e as notas do investigador. Depois de realizado o tratamento e a análise dos dados recolhidos, concluímos que existe continuidade educativa entre os dois ciclos em estudo, sendo que o trabalho realizado na AEC de AFD serve de elemento de sustentação ao trabalho a realizar no 2.º CEB. É referido também, por parte dos professores, que a introdução das AEC no 1.º CEB, e mais propriamente da Atividade Física Desportiva, requer o aumento e a melhoria das condições físicas e de estruturas em que estas se realizam, uma vez que as atuais se mostram desadequadas. Desta forma os professores de AFD consideram a introdução das AEC no 1.º Ciclo benéfica para os alunos, tendo o seu trabalho um relevo e assinalar como primeiros mediadores de aprendizagens nesta área. Já os professores de Educação Física do 2.º Ciclo destacam a importância das aprendizagens desenvolvidas na AFD, tendo desta forma integrado mudanças nas suas práticas, levando em consideração o trabalho realizado ao nível do 1.º Ciclo. Os resultados decorrentes desta investigação vêm contribuir para a reflexão sobre a problemática da continuidade educativa e aprofundá-la no caso específico da atividade física, dando o seu contributo para o conhecimento através da exploração de um exemplo atual e abrindo caminho para futuros estudos.

The focus of this study is to analyze whether there is Educational Continuity or not between the practices developed within the Curricular Enrichment Activities (AEC) in primary education, more specifically in Physical Activity and Sports and those developed within the subject of Physical Education in the second educational level. Thus, we intend to verify if the changes made in primary schools with the introduction of the Curricular Enrichment Activities influence the second educational level, causing changes in the curriculum proposals. Therefore, the study focuses on the AEC of Physical Activity and Sports at the passage / transition from the first to the second educational levels. This study is part of a paradigm of qualitative research, and uses instruments for data collection of qualitative nature. It will follow the conventions of a case study, where the subjects of investigation include AEC teachers of Physical Activity and Sports from the first educational level and Physical Education teachers from the second educational level belonging to a connect group of schools in Braga. The methods used for the data collection were document analysis, face and written interviews and researcher notes. After performing the processing and analysis of the collected data, we concluded that there is continuity between the two educational levels considered, and the work developed in the AEC Physical Activity and Sports serves as a support base for the work carried out in the second educational level. The teachers involved refer that the introduction of the Curricular Enrichment Activities in the first educational level, more precisely the Physical Activity and Sports AEC requires additional an improved physical and structural conditions, since the existing prove to be inadequate. Hence, Physical Activity and Sports teachers consider the introduction of the AEC in the first level of education beneficial to students taking their work a relief to mark as first mediators of learning in this area. Furthermore, the Physical Education teachers of the second educational level consider the Physical Activity and Sports AEC important. They have instituted alterations in their procedures taking into account the work done in the first educational level. The results arising from this research contributes to a reflection on the educational continuity matter and extends it in the specific case of Physical Activity, making its contribution to knowledge through the examination of a current example, and opening the way for future studies.
