Jornalismo desportivo na informação de proximidade: o caso do Semanário Grande Porto

Abstract

Na sociedade actual o jornalismo assume o papel de divulgar informação verdadeira, credível e actual. A imprensa local ou regional, a que a informação de proximidade está indubitavelmente associada, permite informar os cidadãos, contribuindo dessa forma para proliferar valores e ideais comunitários. Nalguns casos, esta permite ainda defender causas e valores de uma determinada comunidade. Este trabalho tem por base uma experiência de estágio na secção de desporto do jornal Semanário Grande Porto, realizada entre Setembro e Dezembro de 2011. A experiência possibilitou o contacto directo com a realidade jornalística bem como a análise das particularidades que o jornalismo desportivo tem num jornal regional. Na primeira parte há um relato do período do estágio, na segunda parte há um enquadramento histórico e teórico da imprensa desportiva seguido de uma parte teórica sobre informação de proximidade. Por fim, foi realizado uma investigação sobre os artigos da secção de desporto de forma a perceber as particularidades do jornalismo desportivo. Percebemos que o futebol é o tema mais noticiado e que as breves e as notícias são os géneros jornalísticos mais utilizados. Em relação às fontes de informação os jogadores e outras fontes (associações, assessores, vereadores, investigadores) são os que são mais usados nas notícias. Por fim, é do e sobre o Porto que surge o maior número de notícias. Estes resultados são a amostra que recolhemos após analisar 136 artigos no Semanário Grande Porto.

In the current society journalism assumes the role of divulging real, credible and actual information. The local or regional press in which the proximity press it’s doubtless associated, it allows to inform citizens, contributing that way to proliferate communitarian’s values and ideals. In some cases, it allows also to defend causes and values of a certain community. This paper is based on the experience as a probationer in the sport’s section of the Semanário Grande Porto newspaper, held between September and December of 2011. The experience allowed a direct contact with the journalistic reality and also the analysis of the specificities that the sports press has in a regional newspaper. In the first part there’s a report about the time of the internship. In the second part there’s and historical and theoretical reflections of the sports press followed by a theoretical reflection of the proximity press. At last, there was an investigation about the articles of the sport’s section in order to understand the specificities of the sports press. Our understanding is that football is the theme most noticed and that the news briefs and news are the journalistic genres most applied. About the sources of information the players and other sources (associations, advisors, aldermen, investigators) are the most used and the news. At last, is from and about O’Porto that there are the biggest number of news. This results are from the sample that we collected after analyzing 136 articles in the Semanário Grande Porto.
