O universo feminino n'Os Maias de Eça de Queirós: entre o romantismo e a tragédia

Abstract

O presente trabalho toma como referência as baixas competências de leitura e de escrita detidas pelos alunos. Perante esta realidade, que é conhecida, e eu corroborei através de um estudo realizado, revela-se imperioso formular estratégias de acção. Para que tais propósitos pudessem ser concretizados, com maiores garantias de sucesso, no estágio que realizei, recorri a um autor do programa, Eça de Queirós, e à sua obra prima, Os Maias, inserida nos programas, e desenvolvi, com os alunos, um estudo sobre o universo feminino aí presente. A escolha desta obra de Eça de Queirós, para estudo, resultou do facto de ela representar o expoente máximo do romance oitocentista português e de ter vindo a conquistar, ao longo dos anos, o nosso respeito e admiração, na representação que faz da sociedade portuguesa da segunda metade do século XIX, e nas constantes incursões que permite efectuar pela antiguidade clássica. Em Os Maias, há uma figura que é vítima da ironia mordaz do monóculo queirosiano: a mulher. Tal como o título deste Relatório deixa antever, propus-me "ler" o romance, com os alunos, partindo do estudo do universo feminino nele presente. Este projecto integra a componente de formação e iniciação à prática profissional, visando o aperfeiçoamento de competências inerentes à actividade docente. Engloba, ainda, entre outros domínios, as dimensões conceptual, estratégica e axiológica da prática profissional, assentando em três eixos globais da formação: análise do contexto, área de docência e intervenção pedagógica. O presente Relatório, além de ilustrar todo o ambiente pedagógico-educativo vivenciado, ao longo do estágio profissional, contempla a experiência colhida, a fundamentação científicopedagógica realizada, bem como as metodologias utilizadas na intervenção e prática docentes.

This work takes as a reference the low skills of reading and writing held by students. Given this reality, which is known and I corroborated by a study, it is imperative to formulate strategies of action. For such purposes could be achieved with greater assurance of success, in the internship that I made, I resorted to an author of the program, Eça de Queirós, and his masterpiece Os Maias, inserted in the program, and I developed whith the students, a study of the female universe therein. The choice of this novel of Eça de Queirós for the study, resulted from the fact that it represents the epitome of eighteenth-century portuguese novel and have been gaining our respect and admiration over the years, which does the representation of portuguese society of the second half of nineteenth century, and the constant incursions that it allows to do into classical antiquity. In Os Maias, there is a figure that is a victim of the biting irony of Eça de Queirós: the woman. As the title indicates, I proposed myself "read" the novel with the students, starting from the study of the female universe therein. This project includes the training component and the introduction to professional practice, aiming the improvement of teaching skills. It also includes, among other domains, the conceptual and strategic dimensions, as well as the axiological dimension of professional practice, based on three educational global lines: context analysis, teaching area and pedagogical intervention. This report, besides illustrating the whole educational-pedagogical environment experienced throughout the internship, includes the experience gained, the scientific-pedagogical fundamentation performed, as well as the methodologies used in the intervention and teaching practices.
