no futuro.
reprodutiva. The promotion of sexual and reproductive health is crucial for societal well-being, especially among Generation Z, considering the pivotal role these young individuals will play in the future. The digitization of their lives presents both advantages and challenges, including the potential consumption of misinformation about sexual health. This study examined the impact of using influencers to promote sexual and reproductive health habits, considering the type of message conveyed (positive vs. negative) and its effect on the "emotions" (“hope” and “guilt”), "attitudes," and "behavioral intentions" of Generation Z youth. To assess the relationships between variables, a single-factor two-level experimental study was conducted, manipulating the message framing (positive vs. negative), followed by an online questionnaire that collected a valid sample of 311 participants (155 positive framed; 156 negative framed). The sample data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using JASP software, and structural equations were analyzed using SmartPLS4, allowing for testing hypotheses regarding direct relationships, mediation effects, and group comparisons. The research results suggested that positive messages focusing on gains elicit stronger feelings of “hope”, which in turn positively impact the behavioral intentions of Generation Z youth. Additionally, the importance of "attitudes" as a mediating variable in the relationship between "hope" and "behavioral intentions" was demonstrated. Thus, the study provides insight for marketing professionals in developing future campaigns promoting sexual and reproductive health habits. |
