Estudo da gestão de stocks obsoletos numa empresa metalomecânica

Abstract

O presente trabalho e dissertação é o culminar de um estudo realizado em ambiente empresarial numa empresa metalomecânica com mais de 70 anos de existência cuja atividade principal é a produção de peças e acessórios para motos e scooters. Esta dissertação pretende criar procedimentos práticos que facilitem a gestão do stock obsoleto com o fim de o reduzir e, ainda, evitar que no futuro o stock fique obsoleto, intervindo nele mais precocemente comparativamente com o que é a situação atual da empresa. Após investigada a situação inicial da empresa e identificadas algumas melhorias potenciais e exequíveis no tempo e âmbito desta dissertação, procedeu-se ao desenvolvimento e à implementação de ações que se debruçaram sobre o stock obsoleto, o armazém e o sistema informático de controlo do stock, visando a redução do stock obsoleto e a mitigação do seu aparecimento. Com as ações que foram executadas reduziu-se o stock obsoleto presente, conseguindo benefícios financeiros na ordem dos 19.500€, muito mais do que se fossem simplesmente para a sucata. Conseguiu-se organizar partes do armazém reduzindo os tempos de procura (e recolha) e tornando essas áreas mais intuitivas, favorecendo a polivalência dos operadores daquela área. Conseguiu-se também alimentar o sistema informático com informação mais realista, e intervir em vários artigos para que o consumo efetivo correspondesse ao consumo gerado informaticamente, aumentando a confiança nos dados informáticos e evitando assim redundância nos pedidos de existências feitas ao armazém.

The present work and dissertation is the culmination of a study carried out in an industrial environment at a metalworking company counting more than 70 years of existence in which its main activity is the production of accessories and parts for motorcycles and mopeds. This dissertation aims to create practical procedures that facilitate the management of obsolete stock to reduce it and prevent it, intervening in it earlier than is current practice of the company. After investigating the initial status of the company and identifying some potential and feasible improvements in the short time and following the objectives and scope of this dissertation, we proceeded to development and implementation of actions that focused on the obsolete stock, the warehouse and the informatic system of stock control, aiming at the reduction of obsolete stock and mitigation of its appearance. With the actions that were carried out, it was possible to reduce present obsolete stock, achieving about 19.500€ of financial benefits, much more than if they were scraped. It was possible to organize sections of the warehouse, reducing search (and picking) times and making these areas more intuitive favoring the versatility of operator in that area. It was also possible to feed the computer system with more realistic information and intervene in several articles so that the actual consumption corresponded to the consumption generated in the system, increasing the confidence in the data thus avoiding redundant stock requests made to the warehouse.
