máxima e as modificações das propriedades mecânicas, consequência das alterações
microestruturais.
This work consists of the mechanical characterization of alloys thermally treated via laser, for application in automotive components. The purpose of the treatment is to cause a local softening of the material, keeping the remaining areas unchanged. For this, the work focuses essentially on the experimental analysis of the steel alloy DP 1000 and the aluminum alloy AW5754-H111. Initially, the work carried out intends to continue the study of the 'Dual Phase' DP 1000 steel alloy, a study done in a previous dissertation, "Functional modification of materials and metallic components by localized heat treatment" [2]. And in a second phase, study a new aluminum alloy AW5754-H111. The materials were submitted to several experimental tests. In the case of the DP 1000 steel alloy, as it had already been thermally treated via laser, only the hardness and microhardness tests were done. In the case of the aluminum alloy, a more in-depth study was carried out, in which it was done the calorimetry analysis (DSC), the localized heat treatment via laser, the hardness test and the tensile test. In order to complement the study, a heat treatment of homogenization was also done. This way, it will be possible to analyze the behavior of the alloys under study, steel alloy DP 1000 and aluminum alloy AW5754-H111, establishing a correlation between the maximum temperature and changes in mechanical properties, a consequence of microstructural changes. However, for the DP 1000 steel alloy, the results were the opposite to the existing bibliography, as an increase in the material hardness was verified. In the case of the AW5754- H111 aluminum alloy, the values obtained coincide with the existing bibliography, since the AW5754-H111 aluminum alloy is characterized by being a non-heat treatable alloy. |
