desempenho energético, transpondo a Diretiva (UE) 2018/844 e revogando o Decreto-Lei nº
118/2013. Esta regulamentação abre novas possibilidades para a reabilitação do parque
habitacional.
a análise do conforto térmico.
metodologias. Human beings spend most of their lives inside buildings leading to a growing need of energy to ensure the adequate thermal comfort conditions. This has great influence on the health and well-being of the individual by allowing him to carry out his activities in the best possible and satisfactory way. However, the air conditioning of buildings currently entails high energy consumption, whether renewable or fossil, the latter being harmful to the environment due to the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG). In order to intensify the demand for better solutions that promote energy performance in buildings and mitigate the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG), decree-law No. 101-D/2020 was published in Portugal, establishing new requirements for the energy performance of buildings, transposing Directive (EU) 2018/844 and repealing Decree-Law No. 118/2013. This regulation opens up new possibilities for the rehabilitation of the existing housing stock. This work aimed to energetically simulate a three-bedroom villa located in the city of Braga and compare the results after its conversion into an nZEB building, leading it to a high performance and energy rating, as well as thermal comfort. To this end, two types of simulations were performed, a seasonal one using the ITecons spreadsheets and another with multi-zone hourly dynamics, using the EnergyPlus (EP) program which also allows the analysis of thermal comfort. The seasonal methodology led to an energy F rating for the existing villa which passed to A+ after the implementation of improvement measures for the conversion into a nZEB building. The dynamic simulations with EP showed somewhat different energy results with the detached house moving from class C to A after the improvements. The comfort analysis indicated significant improvements for the nZEB building, especially in the upper floor divisions (bedrooms), in the summer and when the HVAC system was switched off, understandable by the type of roof of the traditional villa. In general, the differences in the results obtained with the two types of simulations can be explained by the differences in complexity and philosophy of the two methodologies. |
