Um itinerário de investigação: os arquivos das Misericórdias portuguesas da Idade Moderna

Abstract

O presente trabalho possibilita ao leitor realizar uma viagem pelos fundos existentes nos arquivos das Misericórdias portuguesas da Idade Moderna, dando a conhecer os seus principais núcleos documentais e abrindo perspetivas de análise. Porém, a nossa análise não se esgota nestes arquivos. Destacamos também outros locais de recolha de informação sobre o funcionamento destas confrarias, sublinhando quer os arquivos centrais quer os locais.

This work enables the reader to make a journey by the existing funds in the archives of the Portuguese Misericórdias of Early Modern Age, presenting is major documentary collections and open perspectives of analysis. However, our analysis is not limited to these archives. We also emphasize other places of collect information about the functioning of these confraternities, emphasizing the central and the local archives.
