A inclusão dos instrumentos da família da trompete no ensino especializado de música

Abstract

A inclusão dos instrumentos da família da Trompete nos planos curriculares da disciplina de Trompete nem sempre é uma realidade junto das escolas de Ensino Especializado da Música. No entanto, vários autores defendem a inclusão dos instrumentos na aprendizagem escolar. Estas são algumas das questões que se procurou analisar e esclarecer através deste projeto de investigação-ação no âmbito do estágio profissional com o tema “A inclusão dos instrumentos da família da Trompete no ensino especializado de música”. Este trabalho foi realizado no Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga com alunos de Trompete, com o principal objetivo de avaliar os conhecimentos que têm dos vários instrumentos da família da Trompete (Cornetim, P-Trumpet, Trompete em Sib, Trompete em Mib, Trompete em Dó, Trompete Piccolo e Fliscorne). Mais ainda se pretendeu avaliar as dificuldades sentidas na adaptação a estes instrumentos e os conhecimentos relacionados com o plano curricular da disciplina e o repertório utilizado. Foi também objetivo analisar a perspetiva dos docentes de Trompete das escolas de ensino especializado da música e do professor cooperante sobre esta temática. Para tal, recorreu-se à elaboração de grelhas de observação participante e não-participante, realização de jogos lúdicos, inquéritos e uma entrevista. Os resultados mostraram que o docente e os alunos do Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga apoiam, embora com algumas reservas, a inclusão dos instrumentos da família da Trompete no plano curricular da disciplina e que os alunos, de forma geral, conhecem os instrumentos e consideram esta inclusão uma mais-valia para os trompetistas. A grande maioria dos docentes de Trompete de outras escolas de ensino especializado de música que responderam ao inquérito também conhecem e recomendam a inclusão destes instrumentos no currículo escolar. Não obstante, como perspetiva futura, considera-se importante alargar o estudo a mais conservatórios públicos e aos docentes do Ensino Superior; analisar esta temática junto de escolas de ensino especializado noutros países e perceber a opinião dos músicos de orquestra. Propõem-se ainda a realização de entrevistas a alunos de Música de Câmara de forma a promover uma análise das principais dificuldades sentidas pelos alunos no que concerne à execução instrumental dos diferentes instrumentos da família da Trompete.

The inclusion of the instruments of the trumpet family in the curricular plans of the trumpet discipline is not always a reality in schools of Specialized Music Education. However, several authors defend the inclusion of the instruments in school learning. These are some of the questions that we sought to analyze and clarify through this action-research project within the scope of the professional internship with the theme "The inclusion of the instruments of the trumpet family in specialized music education". This work was carried out at the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga with trumpet students, with the main objective of evaluating their knowledge of the various instruments of the Trumpet family (Cornet, P-Trumpet, Bb Trumpet, Eb Trumpet, C Trumpet, Piccolo Trumpet and Flugelhorn). Furthermore, it was intended to assess the difficulties felt in adapting to these instruments and the knowledge related to the curricular plan of the discipline and the repertoire used. It was also an objective to analyze the perspective of the trumpet teachers of the specialized music teaching schools and the cooperating teacher on this theme. To this end, the use of participant and non-participant observation grids, play games, surveys and an interview were used. The results showed that the teacher and students of the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga support, albeit with some reservations, the inclusion of the instruments of the trumpet family in the curricular plan of the discipline and that students, in general, know the instruments and consider this inclusion an asset for trumpeters. The vast majority of trumpet teachers from other schools of specialized music education who responded to the survey also know and recommend the inclusion of these instruments in the school curriculum. However, as a future perspective, it is considered important to extend the study to more public conservatories and higher education teachers; analyze this theme with specialized teaching schools in other countries and understand the opinion of the orchestra musicians. It is also proposed to conduct interviews with students of Chamber Music in order to promote an analysis of the main difficulties experienced by students with regard to the instrumental execution of the different instruments of the trumpet family.
