Abstract

[Excerto] Culturas Infantis As culturas infantis são constituídas pelos processos simbólicos através dos quais as crianças entretecem os fios de sentido com que interpretam o mundo e estabelecem as bases das suas interações com outras crianças e com os adultos. Apesar de profundamente embrenhadas nas culturas societais e construídas na socialização com adultos de referência (sobretudo pais e professores) e na socialização de pares, as culturas infantis apresentam especificidades e características exclusivas nas suas formas (linguagem, jogos, práticas culturais, rituais, etc.), nos processos de significação, nos protocolos de comunicação e na articulação interna dos seus elementos.

[Excerpt] Children’s cultures are comprised of the symbolic processes through which children weave the threads of meaning which they use to interpret the world and establish the basis of their interactions with other children and adults. Although deeply embedded in societal cultures and built on socializing with adults as references (especially parents and teachers) and with peers, children’s cultures have specificities and characteristics that are unique in their manifestations (language, games, cultural practices, rituals, etc.), in the signification processes, in the communication protocols and in the internal coordination of their elements.
