Práticas culturais: o estudo de caso do Município de Monção

Abstract

Considero que a arte, cultura e património refletem e permitem a evolução da identidade de um individuo e de uma comunidade. Como residente no concelho de Monção pensei que seria interessante e importante explorar as práticas culturais desenvolvidas no mesmo, de modo a entender se existe diversidade de oferta ou se estas práticas se limitam à homogeneidade. Assim, este trabalho de investigação teve como finalidade analisar a dinâmica cultural no Município de Monção, recorrendo a um estudo de caso. O foco deste estudo seria compreender que tipo de práticas culturais são desenvolvidas no concelho, bem como perceber quais as infraestruturas culturais e patrimoniais envolvidas nesse mesmo processo. Para este efeito recorre-se à análise de agendas culturais produzidas pelo Município de Monção, bem como a realização de entrevistas a intervenientes diretos na programação cultural do concelho. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo foi de caráter misto, com base na realização de entrevistas a três intervenientes do Município de Monção, onde lhes foram colocadas 7 questões (qualitativo), como também a análise de 12 agendas culturais produzidas pelo mesmo (quantitativo). No que concerne às entrevistas realizadas, as mesmas foram transcritas e analisadas por questão, de forma a comparar as diferentes respostas dadas pelos entrevistados. Já relativamente à análise das agendas culturais, foram separadas em quatro grupos de meses diferentes e de três anos diferentes. O conteúdo das mesmas foi também este separado por áreas de ação. Para tal, recorreu-se à elaboração de tabelas e gráficos de modo a evidenciar as diferenças aos longos dos anos. O estudo concluiu que, de facto, a área cultural é algo de grande valor para o Município de Monção, área onde colocam grande dedicação. Visto esta ser a “imagem” do concelho para muitos que o visitam, a equipa do Pelouro de Ação Social, Cultura e Turismo tem vindo a desenvolver e adaptar atividades culturais que envolvam não só a arte, cultura e património, como também envolvam a comunidade local. Assim, a identidade desta última estará sempre presente na programação cultural desenvolvida.

I believe that art, culture and heritage reflect and allow the evolution of the identity of an individual and a community. As a resident in the municipality of Monção I thought it would be interesting and important to explore the cultural practices developed in it, in order to understand whether there is diversity of supply or whether these practices are limited to homogeneity. Thus, this research work aimed to analyse the cultural dynamics in the municipality of Monção, using a case study. The focus of this study would be to understand what kind of cultural practices are developed in the county, as well as to understand which cultural and heritage infrastructures are involved in this same process. To this end, the analysis of cultural agendas produced by the Municipality of Monção are used, as well as conducting interviews with direct actors in the cultural programming of the municipality. The methodology used in this study was mixed in nature, based on interviews with three actors from the municipality of Monção , where they were asked 7 questions (qualitative), as well as the analysis of 12 cultural agendas produced by the same (quantitative). With regard to the interviews conducted, they were transcribed and analysed by question, in order to compare the different answers given by the interviewees. In relation to the analysis of cultural agendas, they were separated into four groups of different months and three different years. The content of these was also separated by areas of action. To this end, tables and graphs were used to highlight the differences over the years. The study concluded that, in fact, the cultural area is something of great value for the Municipality of Monção, an area where they put great dedication. Since this is the "image" of the municipality for many who visit it, the team of the Pelouro de Ação Social, Cultura e Turismo has been developing and adapt cultural activities that involve not only art, culture and heritage, but also involve the local community. Thus, the identity of the latter will always be present in the cultural programming developed.
