A biodiversidade e a sua importância ambiental no contexto do Parque Natural do Litoral Norte: uma abordagem pedagógica no 1º e 2º ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, no 2º ano do Mestrado em Ensino do 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico (1º CEB) e de Matemática e Ciências Naturais no 2º ciclo do Ensino Básico (2º CEB) e tem como título “A biodiversidade e a sua importância ambiental no contexto do Parque Natural do Litoral Norte. Uma abordagem pedagógica no 1º e 2º ciclo do Ensino Básico”. Este projeto foi implementado numa turma do 2º ano, no 1º CEB e no 5º ano, no 2º CEB e pretendia-se avaliar a evolução das ideias dos alunos sobre a biodiversidade existente num local do seu ambiente próximo e a sua respetiva relevância ambiental. Com a temática escolhida pretendeu-se entrar em comunhão com o lugar onde vivem as crianças atendendo às suas necessidades e interesses. As diferentes atividades realizadas inserem-se no tópico programático “Os seres vivos do seu ambiente” presente no “Bloco 3 – À descoberta do ambiente natural”, no 1º CEB e “Diversidade de seres vivos e sua interação com o meio” no 2º CEB. A implementação do projeto de intervenção pedagógica seguiu nos seus traços gerais uma metodologia de investigação-ação tendo-se adotado uma metodologia de ensinoaprendizagem próximo do modelo de mudança conceptual de cariz construtivista. Com a realização deste projeto pretendeu-se atingir os seguintes objetivos gerais: conhecer as ideias prévias dos alunos acerca da biodiversidade existente nas dunas e a sua importância ambiental; planear e implementar atividades que possibilitem a evolução dessas ideias, tendo-se privilegiado o trabalho de campo e avaliar a evolução das ideias dos alunos com base nas atividades desenvolvidas. Relativamente aos resultados obtidos verificou-se que as atividades implementadas possibilitaram a mudança/evolução de algumas das ideias prévias dos alunos e a sua aproximação aos conceitos científicos.

This report was carried out within the framework of the Curricular Unit of Supervised Teaching, in the 2nd year of the Masters in Teaching of the 1st cycle of the Basic Education (1st CBE) and in Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd cycle of the Basic Education (2nd CBE) and has as title “Biodiversity and its environmental importance in the context of the Natural Park of the North Coast. A pedagogical approach in the 1st and 2nd cycle of the basic education. This project was implemented in a 2nd grade, 1st CBE and 5th grade, 2nd CBE class and was intended to evaluate the evolution of the students' ideas about the biodiversity existing in a nearby environment and its environmental relevance. With the chosen theme it was intended to commune with the place where the children live, meeting their needs and interests. The different activities are included in the programmatic topic “Living beings in their environment” in “Block 3 - Discovering the natural environment” in 1st CBE and “Diversity of living beings and their interaction with the environment” in 2nd CBE. The implementation of the pedagogical intervention project followed in its general terms an action-research methodology, having adopted a teaching-learning methodology close to the constructivist conceptual change model. With the realization of this project it was intended to achieve the following general objectives: to know the students' previous ideas about the biodiversity existing in the dunes and its environmental importance; to plan and implement activities that enable the evolution of these ideas, with emphasis on field work and evaluate the evolution of students' ideas based on the activities developed. Regarding the results obtained it was found that the implemented activities enabled the change/evolution of some of the students' previous ideas and their approximation to scientific concepts.
